2012 c63 Wont accelerate properly
Hello all,
While accelerating in my 2012 c63 the tachometer jumps up and down. It started out as a slight flutter while cruising on the highway and giving a little gas, but I brought it to the dealer and they told me it was fine. Now my car won’t even accelerate smoothly through gears. I took a few videos but I’m having trouble uploading them. In one video I put the car in manual mode and did a 4th gear full throttle pull from about 60 to 85mph. During the acceleration when the tach hits 3k, it jumps to 3,600, then comes back down to 3,200. It happens again when the needle hits 3,500; it jumps to 4,000 then drops to 3,600. While this is happening my foot is pressed against the floor. The car does a similar thing in lower gears when accelerating from a stop.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
-Rich

Like $1100-$1200. That was just for the labor and parts for the clutch tho. The whole service was like $1400-$1500 including a flush, oil change, all the rest.

Makes sense since you did the clutches but I think your sa took you to the cleaners.the clutch packs are NOT part of the 40k service

On my current C63. The one I originally had was totaled and I replaced it with the one w/ CPO. But services arent covered under that no.
Who does a clutch on an MCT-7 for cheaper? What did you pay?

my guess is fuel pumps. my fuel pumps failed around 88k. the car would chug at part throttle acceleration (2-3,500 rpm). once it got bad, it would sometimes stall from a dead stop. HG motorsports said the pumps were drawing too much voltage at idle and too little at part throttle. I did eventually pop a P228F or 229F CEl code (I can't remember which) but it went away after awhile, even before the pumps were replaced. I have heard this code isn't always present for failing fuel pumps.

Both pumps on the right side but not the fuel sending unit. They said that was still good. I kind of wish I had though since the fuel filter is in there.
