Oil level
Hi all,
I own a c63 w204 and I searched this forum for the right answer for the oil level, but I could not find an accurate answer.
I leveled the oil of my car the temperature of the oil was 95 celcius, see attached image. When is the oil on a good level?
is my level correct or do I have to add extra oil to get the oil level between the two red points?

when engine warm the oil level needs to be just above the lower red mark, mine is now below the lower red mark. Am I correct?

The oil level should be between the top red marks. The oil is full when it is just at or below the top red mark. Drive the car until you reach full operating temperature. Let the car sit for five minutes on a level surface and then check the oil level.

I have a stupid question. But with the high amount of millennials around I have to ask.
Did you pull the dip stick out, cleaned it, then put it back in and then back out to get the reading?
Going by your picture the high level plastic part is covered in oil, that tells we either your level is too high or it wasn't cleaned before.

Replaced it with the new, updated dipstick that now has different MB part #.
Yes, the updated dipstick with different MB part # has a thicker section at the very top near handle - an improved design which offers better seal onto the metal dipstick guide tube.

Wing is correct, updated dipstick # is A 156 010 17 72
Compare updated handle end design with better seal vs the old one:
Updated version:
Old Version:
My old version dipstick (came with 2012 FL car) - note the hairline cracks on both oil markers; the crack in proximal marker on the right goes nearly all the way around:

Thanks to the photos here, I have found the location of the dipstick. I did a quick search under the hood the other day but came up blank.
So it seems to hide on the passenger side to the rear just off the intake

You mean you found the only bright orange thing with a handle in the engine bay that’s filled with mostly gray and black parts? Yeah it’s pretty hidden there!!! AMG needed to make sure that only brilliant minds could locate it. Well done good sir!

I'll make sure to clean my glasses when next opening the hood.
Looks like it's becoming a treasure hunt
