Picked up a 2012 P31
Hey Guys-
I'm a long time Mercedes and AMG owner. Have had many in the past. Currently in the process of selling my 1999 C43 AMG. I also have a 2011 E90 M3 comp pacakage. Definitely a true Mercedes guy. I pulled the trigger on this car because it was what I feel, very inexpensive for the car. It has a little higher miles but nothing abnormal for the age. The reason I decided to buy it instead of wait for a lower mileage example is because it also has LSD and carbon package. I felt trying to find all these options would be a waiting game. Im loving the car. Needs a few things but nothing major. I dont even think the dealer knew what this car was. I will be selling my very clean E90 M3. It only has 55k. This car has almost 100k, but geez is it a animal compared to the M3, That being said the M3 is a better car in the turns, but honeslty I like a car thats tough to handle. More fun IMO. Only crap pic I have. Will upload more.

Ah, I think it's good to assume you're the one that bought the one at Stevens Creek since the spec seems to line up. I was looking at it too, nice grab!

Congrats and welcome. I used to have a 1999 C43 also, sorta wish I held on to it but that might just be nostalgia talking.

Yes thats me. Thanks! I actually was one of the first to see the car 10 days ago, but thought it over and guess it was meant to be.

the W202 C43 is a great car and they are starting to creep in value. You can definitely feel the lineage of where the C63 came from, but the C43 is showing its age when you drive it.

Thought I would post the options this car came with, I plan on taking more pics today.
-P31 package
-LSD
-Carbon interior trim
-Lighting package
-Sunshade
-Memory seats
How common is it to have all these options? Are there other options to look out for?

P31 development package has lighter engine internals, CF spoiler, special rotors, pads, red calipers, alcantara steering wheel, titanium colored intake runners, and delimited to 174 mph. LSD was a $2k option and the CF interior trim is a somewhat rare option.

Im trying to figure out if this was basically a fully optioned car. Are there any other rare options that I should look for? Its hard to know exactly what was standard and option on these cars.

Have all these with the exception of pano roof. I never knew the sedan could be optioned with one! always thought that was a coupe only option.
Thanks though, very good info.

Pano Roof was a coupe only option, sedan just came with the regular sun roof always.
413 – Panorama Sunroof (Coupe - Standard / Sedan – N/A)
255 AMG Performance Media is the rarest of rare options, not sure if it was available on the 12's or not.

Some of my plans for the car to start off.
-Full detail in and out
-Respray front bumper(Has some rock chips)
-New windshield(road pittiing)
-Refinish headlights
-Get seat leather treated
-Full fluids and filter changes
If anyone has recommendations for these services in the bay area I would much appreciate your advice.

It is a button in the row of buttons for heated seats etc that says AMG
Pushing it loads up a different interface that has track settings, shows g forces and all kinds of info on the screen - it is a very cool option hard as hell to find and expensive to retrofit!
Here is a vid - top right is . what your command screen would look like when it was running performance media

Nice car! You have got to get some long tube headers. Not only does it wake up the motor but the sound is incredible. I had 2 complete strangers compliment me today on how good my car sounds and I can assure you I do not live in a enthusiast community. M156 + LTH = eargasm, the 40 WHP is just a bonus

Damn bro, I took that car out for a test drive last Thursday and was gonna come back for it on Saturday, then I checked Car Gurus and it was gone I think the next day 😭. It is a beast! Congrats!

Thanks buddy, I think I will be with this car for a while. I already am in love with it I realize why I love Mercedes AMG over any other make. There just nothing like a AMG car.
I actually drove the car back on the 16th but debated over it for a while because of the miles. When I looked around the market I realized It was a great deal and then they dropped the price another $1000.00. That and the fact that it had every option. I was looking at others but they would have for example the Dev pack but no LSD, or both but no carbon trim. I liked that it was a loaded car. I will probably keep this for a long while, but If I come across a nice 507 that would be the only thing I would sell for.

... are always a good time.
Congrats on the car! We are practically neighbors. Actually, i'm in The City. And I just bought an amazing, low mileage C63 too. Will start a thread.
I hope to see you at an event or maybe at Alice's!
