A new C63 507 and a new OS Giken install
Hello,
I used to be a W204 C63 owner back in 2012. I had that car for a short while and bought several other cars....but the C63 was always there in the back of my head as a car that I always wanted to buy again.
6 years later, I found a C63 507 with 44,000kms. The moment I switched on the car, I was sold. This time, the car will stay for good.
I made the deal on the car and then went to check the options on datamb. Immediately, I found that it does not have an LSD. This meant another friendly call to order an OS Giken TCD LSD.
(here is my previous thread for my older C63 https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...installed.html )
The car feels much much better with the traction of the LSD now. Coming out of corner is better with no loss of power and if you invoke it more without traction control you start driving using your side windows....lovely. This is now a proper drift machine.
The previous owner had a removed the cats but put on a very restrictive pipe that got pinched at the top. I replaced it with an Akrapovic down pipe and addd a Eurocharged tune and the finned diff cooler. Now, this car sounds PROPER. You will find a clip of a cold start.....

The front piece that come from the factory headers is the downpipe I am talking about on the left. It replaces the cats. I only changed this piece and kept the rest of the system stock.
the price of the OS Giken is the same here too.
but, I just love it.

Hmmmm
now you made me doubt.
I got the Akrapovic exhaust from my friend and it had the front pipe. But I don't see it on their site also.....maybe it was a one off pipe made here. Will double check. It replaces the cats however.
update,
the downpipes are actually from someone called Mike. Mike's downpipes. He bought them from MB world

Apparently, he had the Akrapovic rear muffler and some custom pipes. Thought it was all Akrapovic.
Here you can see all the parts I got.

I actually used the rear Akra mufflers on my E55 wagon
