Racing seat mounting

Hey everyone just wondering how to mount some racing seats in a c63 sedan. Status racing is having a sale so looking into buying some custom seats but want to know how to mount them first. Can they fit into the Oem rails with racing seat mounts or do you have to make an all new floor mount with sliders? Thanks for any help

I think Weistec has fixed brackets, or Planted makes a bracket that I confirmed with Planted also fits the sedan based on measurements of our floor mounting bolts.

This is on my to-do list for sure. See here:

You can measure yourself. And email Planted. They were super helpful. Be the guinea pig and order one and see if it'll fit, but the measurements appear the same. It would be weird if they weren't, no?
Here's a clip of my email exchange:

On Nov 1, 2018, at 12:32 PM, Jeff Reiss < sales@plantedtechnology.com> wrote:

Seems like we are pretty close. I measured our bracket at:

Side to side (front and back): 16.5 Inches (41.91 cm)

Front to back door side: 15.25 Inches (38.74 cm)

Front to back tunnel side: 15.375 Inches (39.05 cm)

We do make our seat bracket mounting holes slightly over sized so there is a little wiggle room.

As for the seat belt, our bracket has a universal seat belt tab on both the inboard and outboard side that can be used to mount harnesses or factory belts. It is universal though so you may need to source your own hardware as the seat belt tab is not threaded. You'll also need to detach your factory belt from the factory seats.

Yeah I just didn’t know if the coupe had different mounts than the sedan, I don’t mine being a test mule but also don’t want something that will never fit lol

It's kind of a pain but you can get in there with a tape measure and move the seat back and forth and verify your mounting points to the ones provided by Planted and confirm. Or even better, pull the seat out and then measure.

I’m pulling the seats anyway to get my carpet detailed over winter so the seats will be out either way just debating on doing whole new racing seats or re upholstery on the Oem seats

Did you happen to find out if they fit?
