This is on sale again for a few more days:
https://www.costco.com/QuickJack-5,0...100460313.html

But did anyone that previously purchase ever post any pics/notes on how it worked out with their car? That would be helpful.

I didn't buy it through Costco, but I've had mine since late 2017. It just barely reaches the jack points for the W204 chassis. You will get about 2/3rds coverage of each jack point when centered front to back. I felt comfortable with this. Other than that, it works just fine. I've done brakes, suspension and even hammered out an axle on other cars since the time I've owned it, and it worked great. One thing to note though is that this particular model, the BL-5000SLX may not fit vehicles larger than a w204 chassis. Take the time to measure your jack point distances using their measurement guide. That will tell you if this model will suit all your vehicles (not a chance on my Jeep, for instance).

I do have a leak at the hydraulic fluid reservoir that I'm trying to get addressed. It's still usable, but I'm getting a few drips on my floor during storage which is quite annoying. The newer models have a different tank design than mine, so this may not be an issue anymore.

I got the BL-5000EXT and for W212 it is just long enough, with approx 5cm spare, that's it.

Not that I do not trust Quick Jack, I would never allow stand alone use of Quick Jack without back up safety jack at rear and front of car

Below is my driver removing under carriage shield for inspection of under carriage conditions.

I'm over-cautious lifting any car up and even more so with this and my C63, and have made it work w/o issue. I do check and recheck multiple times as I raise it up just enough for the pads to make proper contact and as I continue to raise it (I have an unavoidable seam in my garage floor that can cause the bottom of the jack to sometimes shift 'off' - it can and does move). In addition to addressing the length, you need to watch the side mouldings as well - by comparison, lifting a 335 was a breeze. I bought some generic jack pads months before this that fit poorly and don't use, but have considered milling just the rectangle part down to fill the jack pad void for an overall better contact area (as we as maybe new oem jack pads that are crushed a bit from before I acquired).

I also add some add'l safety w/jack stand under the plate and ramps under the wheels. You can also reach each side of the 'lock point' at slightly different times and 'might' have to manually raise the 'drop catch' (or whatever its called), so be aware of that. I recall reading something long ago recommending using this in only one position (the front of the car one way, etc.) and have only needed to raise the MB to the 1st position, but need to research a bit more before I'm comfortable regarding potential 'nose heavy' cars, and all the other stuff I just mentioned before taking it to the highest setting and getting under it.

Bottom line, if someone as cautious/paranoid as me can use it, anyone with any decent mechanical skills shouldn't have a problem.

Nice. Good info thanks. And for anyone looking for a good jack pad, I highly recommend these. He’s a one man shop dedicated to the craft.

thx - I've seen those and have read good things. Given that with the QJ (w/o extensions) you're catching maybe 2/3rds of the oem pad, I'm thinking the bottom round part might me problem(mild tilt?) - maybe someone who's tried can chime in.

Even with 2/3 coverage of the jack pad, once the weight of the car is on those 4 points - 1000lbs per each point - your car isn’t going anywhere. It’s not going to slip off.

true, but is the insert adding anything if QJ block is catching part of it and part of the oem pad with a potential gap (again, my assumption)?

If you have several cars in the household, and get the one that reaches for the C63, what happens with the short wheel base car?
The platform reaches too far and can be too long for a car, where it either hits the front or rear suspension?
We have an Abarth in the household as well, really short wheel base.

Progress. I have about 1/2 of each jack point covered and it feels rock solid to me.
