That sucks. Did you at least get one clean pass? What kind of rims and tires are those skinny fronts?

Yes, they are the 26x6 18 sportsman radial. I would go with the 28x6 though as I'm technically over the load rating of the tire.

The 26x6 is rated at 880 lbs at 50psi the front corner weight of the 204 is around 1060 so I'm close to 200 lbs over weight for that tire. The 28x6 is rated at I think 1450 lbs.

And I bought another spare off ebay for like 200 bucks. Until I stop being cheap and get the welds for the front.

Well, got the rear apart to see what exactly broke. it wiped out the tone ring and had to get new ones. The driveshaft shop axles look amazing and hopefully worth the money but beats breaking another stocker.

After fixing my broken turd, i finally was able to make it out to the track. Maple Grove is only about 10 minutes away so i went there. ran a 11.7 on both runs, need more seat time with this car because it definitely has a 11.5/6 in it. i didn't use race start as i only messed around with it a couple times on the street and was only able to get 2 runs in and on the first run i took it sorta easy so it wouldn't break again right away. don't mind my cheerleader in the videos, she loves when daddy races cars

Today i got around to putting in my East Coast Euro engine and trans mounts. With the long tubes in the driverside mount kinda sucked to do but not too terrible. i'm definitely taking the luxury out of this car but could still drive comfortably.

I've only driven on them for an hour or so, but they're nice. You can feel they're a bit stiffer.

Went out again today and first run, ran a 11.48@ 121mph

ARH LTH with catted x pipe
Row boxes
AFE filters
AMR dyno tuned to 473whp
18 MT skinnies up front
17 MT et street R drag radial 245/40/17

Also on my 4th pass of the day the driveshaft snapped so itll be down for a little bit as I'm in no rush to get it back on the road with winter coming. Sucks because its prime time weather for Shenanigans.

Stay tuned for carbon driveshaft shop 1 piece install pics.

Do you have the part numbers for the axles and the cost? Were they in stock or did they build them?

Here's the screen shot from their website with part numbers.

They had to make/assemble them, I'm sure they have all parts in stock but not exactly assembled finished product. I think I got them in 2-3 weeks in their busy season.

Lol, well since I upgraded axles it was only a matter of time.

Also AMGonFire what driveshaft did you go with?

well I would have gone the same route as you but the aftermarket warranty I had put the stock one in for free so can’t really complain. Won’t be putting drag radials back on though till I upgrade. That’s for sure.

The axle I broke with too high pressures in my DR and a 40°f track, so it spun just a hair then caught and snapped it.

Driveshaft I was foot braking it and not sure how it happened, just broke. But I am very hard on this car every time I drive it.
