I hear the SLS intake manifold blows apart at the seams with boost

shorter gearing.... Thats a hard pass lol. You're going to need quite a few modules changed for the diff gearing, but if you know the right people you'll be alright. Or just keep it in dyno mode all the time.

And the M159 cams aren't even that "big"... That M159 intake manifold makes power to 9000+ I bet, and it deserves an even more aggressive camshaft.

I was told that we can get higher ratio differential gears out of Chrysler 300.

I got a 3.06 final drive ratio out of an 2007-2009 SRT Chrysler 300. However, it wasn’t just a “drop-in” as once I rebuilt it myself, I had to remove again due to a “drone” which resulted from my NOT “Splitting the Case” as it should have been to ensure a perfect “tight” fit. I sent it out to local specialist and have been smiles ever since where in 4th gear it sits right at 55mph at 3k rpm (start of the power band!), 77mph at 4K rpm, and 90 mph at 5k rpm!

I decided to take a look at the SLS intake manifold.
It's not sold in one piece like ours.
There's a top cover that is not expensive, it's like $300, there's a main and lower box that is around $2000 and there are the guts that are around $3000.
The guts have a separate part number for the SLS black series and I'm not able to pull a price for that. But I wonder if the extra HP that the black series had vs the normal one, once again had to do with an even better manifold and even better cams.
It's possible that the lower box includes the throttle bodies but I'm not sure of this.

The dry sump is worth 25-30 HP at higher RPM
The camshaft gives approximately 700 more RPM than the stock C63 camshaft
The intake is good to about 9000 RPM on this size of engine. The camshaft and intake give approximately 50 HP together over the C63.
SLS black series is rated at 600HP engine. Weistec has a package with Exhaust, Filter and Tune that makes 600rwhp or about 700 HP engine. The Black Series SLS power peaks at 7200 RPM, where the C63 power peaks around 6400 RPM.

M159Camshaft + M159 intake is about 50HP and power band extending about 700 RPM. Using the SLS cam with the C63 intake has been done before and it loses a bunch of power down below 4000 rpm and makes 5-10HP at 6500. The stock intake shuts it down, so larger cams than stock require the SLS intake.

Do we know if anyone has cammed a m159 so it make speak power closer to 8500 rpm?

I'm pretty sure it's not a normal question. There are probably some real road racer junkies that did put that type of cam in there for the higher rpm action. Or in some big dollar race series. I still have no evidence as of yet. The engine is very capable with the DOHC and all, the cams aren't that "large" and with the short runner SLS intake it should be able to have a powerband to 9000 RPM or thereabouts.

Pretty sure David Jenis is the guy to ask about that. Look him up on Instagram to contact.
