Eurocharged V7 experiences
Hi All,
I recently took the plunge and got a V7 tune for my 2012. I've noticed now that in manual mode the throttle is real twitchy in 1st and 2nd at low revs (doesn't happen in comfort, I guess because it starts in 2nd and short shifts), if I hit a bump in the road and my foot moves a little bit it's like someone just gave me an extra 100bhp in one go. Net result is I look like a dumb *** as I kangaroo down the street trying to modulate the acceleration, it's pretty interesting half way round a corner as well... Don't get me wrong on WOT it's great. but that sort of sensitivity is not ideal round town! I've completed a TCU reset and also left the battery disconnected overnight but no change. If I put the original map back on the issue goes away so it's definitely something in the tune.
Is this normal for a v7 tune? I feel like i've turned my daily driver from a well behaved mature car into a an insolent teenager that wants to race everywhere.

I've just ordered the handheld tune too and the car is used as my daily so hope fully I don't find the same experience...but probably will. I feel as though the pedal almost needs stronger spring tension as even with a standard tune over bumpy roads its sometimes difficult to modulate the pedal in certain modes.
I'm fairly certain the throttle sensitivity is increased with the V7 tune. Perhaps you could reach out to them and see if they can tone the throttle sensitivity down in a revised tune.

I have the same issue in manual mode in 1st gear. Very light pressure or WOT. It honestly reminds me of my 1199s Ducati in first gear, impossible to have smooth throttle response but that’s okay with me. I had the tune for a few weeks and probably drove a few hundred miles. Other than that issue, V7 has been fantastic.

I have my EC v7 tune coming in the mail, so can't comment on before/after yet, but I've always noticed that M is a bit twitchy in 1st & 2nd anyway, so maybe it's just worsened a bit with the additional throttle response from the tune?
Good to hear the C is mostly unaffected, cause enjoy the civility of the car when I'm not romping on it.

Seek and you shall find:
Feed back from Jerry at Eurocharged is:
“V7 has VVT timing adjustments and a more aggressive timing profile. We also open the throttles up a bit sooner.”

Going to give my 2 sense after having the v7 tune for a week now. After resetting ecu by unplugging the battery for 12 hours, I will attest to the throttle being way to sensitive in S and S+, to the point its almost impossible to modulate accelerating in the rain. C mod is nice, big difference over the other tune I had. I've attempted to talk with Jerry and he suggested battery disconnect which I did and didn't notice any difference. Any suggestions guys?

LOL, some of you guys are funny. Regarding the sensitive v7 throttle tune, Jerry was nice enough to send a less aggressive throttle mapping. Made it feel sluggish obviously and I didn't like it so back with the other tune.
For those that say get used to it, yes, that makes sense since it's what's capable for our cars regarding the mapping of the throttle and whatever else we have limited access in changing. Its very none linear throttle feel, you just don't get a real sense of controlling torque with the throttle, it's a very on or off type of feel. If you don't recognize it then you are just not that type of person that can feel stuff like that, or just don't care lol. Newer car throttle mapping has gotten so much better. I'm just spoiled when going back to this generation car. Does this aggressive throttle mapping make it feel faster and snapper downstairs, hell yes!

Hey fellas,
So I did a search (because we all like to see members search)......on how to drive your tuned C63 and found this hillarious video on Youtube. Looks like she nearly pranged it - probably too much power for her
Anyway, just as well is wasn't raining for the camera mans sake.
