What’s up guys, I’m in the process of doing some maintenance work on the C63. Swapping out Injectors for a fresh set and was thinking about doing the spark plugs while we’re at it.
I have about 90,000 KM on the car. Not looking to run the Weistec step colder plugs.
Just for info the car is FBO. Including Renntech Intakes and Throttle bodies.
I heard some horror stories about the step colder plugs. Thats why i decided to stay away. Especially in cold Canadian winters.
Never swapped the plugs on the car prior. Just want to see what fellow members are using (if different than stock)
I recommend stock plugs. I’m running nitrous and have no issues. Colder plugs make the car run weird, or at least mine does. Colder plugs aren’t always better, especially if your NA

When I changed the plugs I decided to stay with the stock OEM plugs from the dealer. I did a little research at the time and that seemed to be the sensible thing to do.
Kriston, stock plugs are great. Just like oem brake pads are also great, less noise and medium dust if you are running stock rotors. Sometimes stock just works best. Glad to hear you are keeping her in tip top shape...!
I'm going to re-dyno the car again after the maintenance, curious to see how fresh injectors / spark and the updated tune for the Renntech Throttle bodies do.

Dealer just quoted me over $800 for spark plug change. Is there anything unusual about the labor or particularly expensive about the OEM plugs?
Not a hard change, think it took me about an hour including watching a youtube DIY and hunting for one of those engine cover clips that pinged off. Paid about $90 for plugs.

must be coils and plugs for $800, surely?!?
I'd imagine the 800 is plugs only, coming from dealerships that want $300 for an oil change thats realistically about 115 bucks in oil + filter

Fantastic mods.....always loved your taste of subtle OEM look. The car looks killer...really like the smoked lights and your drop with your wheels....I'm sure the interior is a whole other world....
Thanks alot bud. The W205 steering wheel definitely updated the interior.
