Did anyone here insulate their garage for warmer cold starts?

Just bought a house, have been living in a condo with heated garage until now.

Here in Canada my car’s oil temp is near zero Celsius when cold starting in the winter. I’m really worried about this, since I park outside for work too.

So my car car will have to cold start twice a day at nearly 0 degrees oil temps. Did anyone insulate/heat their garage to keep their cars warm?

Thanks!!

If you have access to an electrical outlet you already have a block heater installed in the coolant lines. The connecting cable is about $40 from the dealer. It's not the most elaborate heater, it doesn't pump coolant, but its just a heat element in the block that will definitely speed up warm up time on cold start

Thanks, will look into this. So my car will look like a plugin hybrid when parked at my garage I guess? Is my imagination correct?

Also, does anyone know how bad cold starts at 0-10c oil temp are? I have to do this twice a day in winters, and I plan to keep my car for a very long time. Would do anything within reason to mitigate the damage caused by this.

Just googled and it does look like something I plug in. Does it heat up coolant as well as oil?

Fully insulated and heated. I have found 13.5°C is the perfect temp to keep it at.

I think this car is causing you too many issues, maybe revert back to stock. Take the headers off. The car is fine starting at 0 degrees, its a car man..... do all of the other cars in Toronto have issues starting in minus 0 degree temps?

So heres your solution:

If car too loud - take off headers
If car too slow - Super Charge it
If Super Charge too much - Sell Car

Easy breezy.....

PS: I have always felt 11.3095890 Degrees C is the best temp to get the car to warp speeds.
