C63 (2014 - W204) Sunroof Issue
Hi Guys,
I've been lurking for a while and finally made the purchase of a 2014 c63 with 20k on the clock. Very happy!
I've only had her a month or so but (very) stupidly made the mistake of mounting the GoPro internally on the sunroof.
Everything was fine until I tried to open the sunroof this morning and I was met with an awful sound of the motor labouring as the go pro mount would not budge. I tried to stop it and remove the mount as quickly as possible but now it only opens half way and when I close the sunroof it goes a step further and lifts into the upright position. I fear the rails have skipped so the sunroof it's now misaligned with the motors.
Has anything seen anything similar? Is it easy to get these reset, or is it a new sunroof unit 😑

Sunroof or Pano Roof?
Diagnosis is likely similar on both but the repair is going to be vastly more expensive if it's a pano.

After an hour of fiddling and giving it a bit of force back into the glass recess, the automated mechanism started moving in really tiny steps. I then used the reset sequence, heard a click, and all back to normal now.... Phew! That will teach me.
