Bilstein PSS10

I can’t find any recent posts of anyone running Bilstein PSS10 coilovers. Why is everyone mostly running KW? Anyone using these on a facelift 2011+? Or any reason the KW are better? These are about $1800. Seem like a good price.

Thanks

I’m running them. My favorite mod so far. Better handling, but drives like stock. I run on setting 5 front and rear.

This looks real good. What are you wheels and tyre specs?

I used to have them on my c280 and it was great. Definitely stiffer than stock c63.

2013 C63 AMG Sedan

Hi ,
I have been running the Pss10 for the past 3 month as part of a handling upgrade. I just felt KWs were overkill for my situation as I daily my car. I did have KWs stage 1 on my daily VW a few years back and was happy with them. The Bilsteins handle great . Below I have them on the 5 setting with a .50" drop. Now ia good time to order them as they just finished a factory retrofit and have caught up on orders. I had to wait 8 months

Car and stance looks great man, what height you have set on, all around, any idea?

I mainly ask as I just got the PSS10 B16 myself so hoping to have on next few weeks. I do wish this Bilstein kit came with camber plates which I didn’t really notice, but I may grab KMAC plates to go with them up front and the KMAC rear bushing kit for back end if I need to adjust. Im running 19” Pilotsport 4S 275s in rear on stock suspension w/ factory camber spec and they rub, but only big bumps. I’m hoping to stiffen rear up w/ new kit and keep height/camber same back there. Did PSS10s allow you to keep same rear ride height as OEM by chance or it’s lower?

I heard that the KMAC plates slip. I’m not sure thought. Interesting question though. Cause I’m getting my B16 set soon and I’m installing 275’s too on 19” BBS Forged rims

Based on your current ride height, how much lower can the coils go? Are you at max drop?

Really? That sucks, a lot of mixed reviews on KMAC stuff it seems like. And good move on wheels/tires, so much grip with the 275 4s, I often have a hard time breaking them free, hopefully after tune it’ll feel like the stock 255s which were lot of fun in *** end haha.

Truthfully, the biggest questions/concern I have is how much the geometry is actually changed with these Bilstein coils on the highest height setting, is it OEM ride height? And with the different drops will fac alignment specs be able to be achieved? Im sure all way slammed 50mm drop will require adjustable arms or bushing kit which is why I’m preparing.

I really never had a problem with the OEM alignment specs or suspension feel, as the ride wasn’t all that bad, even under aggressive driving. It’s just a few bad bushings all over have the car starting to make some bad metal on metal and clunking noises, and the car is starting to wander on me under accel/deccel (scary) that’s got me looking at upgrading everything now. Plus maybe a few drinks and 2am internet surfing had that Bilstein kit kit looking damn good, so they got me into this full suspension upgrade mode now haha.

I too wonder why so many C63 owners run KW V3s... I know they are better for people that track their cars as it has more adjustability, but lets say you don't track your car every weekend or every month... But more like once a year if that.. Would the still Bilstiens be a good choice? Main issue here is the price obviously..

KW V3 best price I've seen locally is $3800 + tax
Bilstiens b16 best price I've seen locally is $2400 + tax

I'm thinking of saving the $1400 and putting it towards a set of front Girodisc's.
