Front Wheel Fitment Help - 9.5 inch
Hi group,
I’ve searched for a while and I’m struggling to come to a firm conclusion on this. Can anyone tell me whether the C63 can comfortably run a 19x9.5 wheel with an ET40 offset up FRONT using a (preferably) 245 tyre? I’m talking inner and outer clearance to the strut and also without poking/camber needed.
I’m having the rear arches widened soon so they luckily won’t be a factor any longer however, purely for looks I wouldn’t mind fitting a 9.5 front, concavity wise. If however meaning that in order to do it I’d have to fit a 225 tyre and stretch it to death, I’d rather concede and just go for the tried and tested 8.5 x 19 ET40 route.
The car is on coilovers, sensibly lowered at tyre in line with arch height, no tucking. That is where it will stay, at a functional height.
Appreciate any advice you can give me. Before posting this I made sure I couldn’t glean the info any other way, to try and be a good forum member and all that...before you beat on me.

why would you want to only run a 245 if you're doing fender work ? and a 245 will be stretched on a 9.5 rim IMHO.....and per Michelin's guide...
255's fit with the right offset - if you're doing work likely a 275 can work..... then you might as well get the rears done.... and fit a larger tire in there....

You’ll have to work the front fenders to fit a 9.5” rim there. And as they’re aluminum it’s not easy. Good luck.

I ran a 245/30-20 on a 9.5x20 ET+40 on the front of my car with unmodified fenders without any issues. I have KWV3 coilovers and the tire just rubbed on the spring perch. A 3mm spacer fixed that issue and resulted in an ET of +37 . It seemed to be stretched too much for my liking and a 255 would rub the spring perch and require a thicker spacer. I have Brixton WR3 wheels. Since my original order was for 9.0" wide wheels they sent me new barrels and I installed them and that modified them to a 9.00x20 ET +33. Now I am running a 255/30-20 on those wheels and have had no issue with rubbing. I also think that the 20" tire may run a little narrower in the same rated width as compared to a 19" tire.

I rubbed with the below specs
245/35-19 (RE-11)
19x8.5 +40 (Forgestar CF5)
H&R springs
-1.9° camber with 0 toe
Had to pinch the fender lip and pull so it's flared out. Would also hit where the bumper attaches to the fender. Had to grind away material.
