Blinker hole troubles
All,
I did a replacement from the yellow indicators to smoked when i got my 63. front left and right sides.
recently, one was becoming loose, and sort of fell out while driving.
I picked up a replacement set from Amazon, but when I went to install the new ones, the plastic trim around the opening (was very thin) bent and broke off. it was about 1/4 of a inch wide, all along the opening. I will post pics when I can, but I wondered if anyone knew of a rubber grommet or trim piece - or should I just silicone them in place?
I have considered getting a replacement front - but i wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.
I am skilled at fabrication - fiberglass and sculpting - so I may just do something completely custom - but i want to make sure I can get a repair sooner than later.

That's the same problem I had with the smoked side markers. They do tend to fall out. I returned the first set but the replacements were just as bad. IIRC I kind of jammed it upwards while pushing the bottom inwards and that seemed to cure it but it's an inherently ill-fitting piece.
