Compare your wheels against stock and see if (how much...) they poke out, I am lowered with stock size 19" rims that poke out +10 mm front and rear (ET 35/45) and that works perfectly fine, no rubbing at all.
My tires are 235/275 front and rear.

Hmmm ok. I think that it can be very tight. My rims are 36mm wider on the outside 😄
