Part missing on my M156 engine?

I just purchased my 2014 C63 AMG 507 Edition not long ago and I noticed that next to the coolant reservoir, just below it, there is a white bracket that is not holding anything. It has a marking built into the plastic that says "2.3". I look up photos of the M156 engine bay online and I notice that in some photos it holds something, in others it does not. Can anyone tell me what this white bracket is meant to hold? (and if I'm missing something). Thanks in advance!

I don’t think you are missing anything. Or we both could be missing something 🤔

Normal I have a 14 507 also and nothing is there, maybe something used in another market than US.

It's used on the e class to hold the auxiliary pump.

2014 C63 507 Edition
I have it on a '14 507, I think it's the washer fluid heater circ pump and is possibly a Canadian or cold weather option...Part pic

Why is the coolant reservoir black? How will you see how much is in it? Lol

It looks better in black.
There is no need to see how much is in it. It has a low level sensor. It is a closed system and the coolant amount doesn’t change.
The fill level/volume does change based on coolant temp and if you would check it at different temps you would get confused.

If you want to check it open the cap when it is at room temp.
