i guess the added weight of the E63 helps a tad with traction? many times my ESP go all flashy at my 2-3 shift or if i kick down to 3rd in sport mode it'll flash until the 4th shift. i'm running cheapo sumitomo's that seem to grip well for cheapies. i feel like they have the same contact patch as 295's but thats just eyeing it. the best launch i had when dragging my buddy...traction control off, which doesn't really turn it off, at the launch give it 10% throttle, once the car begins the roll, give it 25% throttle, once its moving, give it 75-80%, then full throttle for the last 2,000rpm. i bet with slicks i could yank em.

i feel like you got a lot more left in the tank in terms of E/T. i removed my flexfuel kit and retuned prior to this tank of gas. i feel like my car felt a lot faster tuned without flexfuel kit versus tuned with flexfuel kit. both times with hptuners. response and pickup were much better. similarly with 91 octane. like there was a delay from the flexfuel computer to injector. maybe placebo... surprisingly the my fuel maps for 91 with flexfuel kit and without are completely way different. like waayyyyyy different.

I gave up on it and just run my race gas map from oe tuning and the car runs good enough for me vs trying to start fresh with hp tuners.

prior to this tank of gas...had it running cherry at 80% ethanol without flex fuel kit. very fast. yeah sucks rather to have to spend more money if yours is running fine. fyi, i'm offering tuning services through hptuners. if you're ever itching for those extra pones, give me a holler.

I may need this. Mine was tuned for 93 octane (out of state purchase), but I'm getting tired of having to drive to Sunol for a blended tank of 91 and 101. It's not cheap to be lazy

If someone has a subscription to epc net that can get the part number off the ml63 for us.

What’s your highest trap? I ran similar traps on e60 fuel with a V7 100 octane map.

if you mean...91/93 to 95, 99, 105+ race fuels...yes the Bosch Motronic itself by default can adjust timing to a set point as race fuels do not require 25-30% additional fuel per cylinder. again but will not deliver as much timing as a dedicated tune. the computer has a buffer of max and minimum timing parameters. from sensor data will determine how much higher the computer allows timing to move towards the higher end of that timing parameter.

before any tuning can be completed you'll need to return the tune to factory. hopefully you are able to without having to buy another tune and programmer like many here have had to do.
yes and no...the Bosch Motronic computer can adjust well beyond per LTFT and STFT +/-50 as whatever that scale is. timing will self learn and adjust accordingly to a limit defined per your current map. should you have a 91/93 octane map and run ethanol blend or fully without a flexfuel kit...the answer is no. to ensure safe running if not utilizing a flex fuel kit you will need a purpose built tune for the ethanol content being run at given time.

you should just be able to flash it with HPTUNERS since the credits unlock the ECU with clean slate.

Is it what they call the accumulator #130 - you can look all the EPC stuff up on Realoem.com

although it may be possible, hptuners advises against it. unless someone is willing to attempt, i can't recommend it at this time. from what i know, hptuners actually downloads whatever is on your ECU/ECM and build this as your base original file. they do not store base mappings on their servers other than a small number of vehicles that allow for complete data write. those vehicles can take advantage of code segment swaps. aka, if this model has this feature bring it into my computer thus enabling features that did not exist in your ECU/ECM's code base.

I'll dig around a bit. Can you please share your canister setup?
Great resource but not sure if that is the correct item. Cross-referenced it with the diagram for a W204 C63 and it is present there as well.
