Black Series Rotors upgrade from RacingBrake
I pulled the trigger on the Black Series Brake kit upgrade for my c63.
NOTE: These RB rotors are way lighter than stock!
I purchased the kit from Racingbrake.com. The company is local to me so I picked up the parts and saved some money on shipping.
Front rotor kit: https://racingbrake.com/one-piece-ro...quattro/2457-k
Rear rotor kit:https://racingbrake.com/standard-iron-brake/mercedes/2458
I went with the XT910 front and rear pads.
You can keep your front calipers but will need to use spacers (which racingbrake provides).
Total cost for the RacingBrake parts was less than $3,500
You cannot retain your rear calipers. You will need to use the following part numbers for the rear brakes if you wish to retain the red calipers:
Left caliper: 212-423-68-98
Right caliper: 212-423-69-98
The big brake kit
Note: For those interested in upgrading your brakes to front:390mm and rear 360mm you will require 19” wheels so that the rotors and caliper will have enough clearance.
stock p31 brakes
These brakes lasted 96,000 miles but it was time for a change.
During the install:

Rear Brakes :
I decided to go with junkyard E63 W212 rear calipers that I was able to purchase for $500 for the pair. The rear calipers are pretty worn down asthetic wise but it does not bother me as I will be professionally painting the calipers in the near future.

After installing the bigger rotors:
Overall the bigger brakes dramatically improve the look of the c63.
I did not get to drive the car much after installing the brakes so I am not able to honestly provide an opinion on the brakes yet but I will be posting my review of this kit after I break the brakes in.
Stay tuned.

Only issue I had were the XT910 pads were a tad too hard and not quite suited for day to day driving. More for track. Mine was glazed under 800miles usage.
Otherwise, the rotor still looked barely used even after 15K miles.
So I took the car to the canyons after bedding the brakes in. Drove approximately 60 miles. 30 miles up the canyon and 30 miles down the canyon.
The difference between the stock rotors and the RacingBrake rotors are night and day.
I know most that purchased these for track but I honestly got a lot out of them just on street usage alone.
The brake setup now has WAY more bite than before. They stop on a dime! Under hard braking (100 to 40 MHP) the car does not lose ANY control whatsoever. the brake bias is also set perfect. I can easily RACE the canyon windy roads faster than I was able to before.
I can also confirm these RB brakes dissipate heat better than the stock brakes. I am happy with my purchase. I do feel the brake kit is priced competitively for what is offered. You sure do get a lot more for what you pay for with RacingBrake.
