2014 AMG C63 rear badges
Gday everyone,
quick question in rear AMG and C63 badges
sone reason my AMG badge is on the left side of the boot.
Can anyone shed light on this, never been replaced

2013 W204 C63 AMG P31 Estate wagon
I read somewhere about the reasoning behind the position change for the W205.
Apparently AMG want the car to be known as an AMG and not just AMG extras added.
In the industry the W204 is Known as the Mercedes C63 AMG which is the same way as you would say a C200 with AMG package.
Where as from the W205 and larger variants they are Mercedes AMG C63 with engine on right.
the lesser W205 models still have the engine size on left and AMG on right if fitted with AMG accessories.

Interesting... so AMG is beginning to establish themselves as an independent brand now?

Model year productions differ from market to market.
Your 2015 may very well be a W205 and not a W204. Some countries may not have had a 2015 model W205...
Mercedes cars are labeled with their chassis designations, that's the best way to identify which "model" car it is, rather than just say the year.

Could have had a minor incident in the back and, maybe had to have the trunk replaced or repainted. And it's possible that the body shop put the badges on backwards
