C63 W204 - Fault code 0732 - help needed with diagnosis!
Hi, please see attached picture. The car is a 2014 model with 77k miles. One guy said it could be a stretched timing chain and may need a 5k rebuild! Another said it might be just the can adjusters. Any ideas from anyone please. I do get the notorious rattle on start up, and it does tick slightly on idle. Thanks
Thats what ive been planning to do, been chasing the similar running lean codes on all bank, replaced intake gaskets and pcv valve with no luck. Hoping possibly the adjuster may be involved with all codes?
adjuster has nothing to do with your lean codes. Did you inspect the internals of the intake, they can leak inside on a chaff point, also the throttle valve harness can leak externally. Depending on mileage it could also be time for oxygen sensors. Tuned m156 cars go through them around every 50k or so. They may last longer and not cause faults but run noticeably better with fresh ones
If the code says just one camshaft on one bank is off, i would say it is some sort of hickup.(or misalignment of triggerdiscs on the camshafts)
If the camchain would be stretched, or chainguides worn out both cams on the right bank would be off.
