Another warranty question, but it's quick 😁
I started thinking about an aftermarket extended warranty for my car, but I don't know if it's worth it at this point. Here are the details of my situation.
2009 C63, about 95,000 miles, stock
Parts replaced over the last few years:
Power steering pump and res
ABS module
Radiator
Pulleys
Alternator
Fuel pump and filter
Headbolts already replaced years ago
I'm thinking the only major repair on deck is the the EIS/ESL which is $2k, iirc.
What do you guys think?

Hi, I got 2 year aftermarket warranty on my 2011 C63. UK.
Some of the small print:
It’s a £50 charge just to make a claim through the warranty company
I have to pay a 40% contribution towards all parts, due to the age and mileage of the car.
Labour is paid by the warranty company providing labour is under £50 per hour.
The maximum cost for one repair the warranty company will pay for is £2000.
You cannot undertake any repairs without the consent of the warranty company first.
Hope that helps.

The only big ticket items remaining are the CAs, cams, buckets and front LCAs.
How much is an extended warranty and what does it cover?

Like Jasonoff said, ESL isn't really a big expense as you can do an emulator. I would be more worried about the top end also, CA's, cams and lifters.

Thanks. Lifters and CA's changed under my MB ELW at about 50k miles, forgot to list those. I'll do some more research on warranty prices.

From what I have seen (especially on BMW forums in their performance line so... M cars) people rave about the carmax warranty and say it's the best in the business right now. Obviously you can't get it because you have to get that warranty when you buy from them but just sell your car to carmax and buy it back right away haha
As with anything generally, you pay for what you get. An 11 year old AMG is probably going to cost you a pretty penny for a warranty on and on this car I'm not so sure it's worth it. We just had that thread with the guy hitting 200k miles (so double you) and really not having issues at all.
To me, I wouldn't get a warranty on this car because it's one of the most reliable ones. That said, with that attitude, mine would for sure blow up and I'd be kicking myself haha.
Just set some money aside in a rainy day fund maybe but I doubt you run into any major issues that would justify a warranty at this point. You've been in these parts for quite a while and I know you take care of your car so I really wouldn't worry about it.

Your car is exactly my car by one year. Truly love this car as a well thought out masterpiece. It looks terrifying when coming at you and the sound! The car drives like a seasoned running back and fits like a glove down the road. Glad to hear you are keeing it. How can you go wrong? V8, CLK Black Series seats, hood lines, quad exhaust, thick difusser, Xenon lights, paddle shifters, quality leather and a sleek dash, aggressive angles and wide rear shoulders, just the right amount of tech, fit 19s and fill the wheel gaps and it looks thick to back up that engine and torque...
These cars kept clean keep their style. I really like your selenite gray too...
