My new to me 2012 C63 AMG W204 Sedan USB question
I just bought a 2012 C63 W204 sedan with 41,360 kms on it and everything works well and is in great shape except that I can't get the USB port in the armrest storage area to charge my phone. Does anyone know if that USB port does charge the phone or is it only for connecting an Ipod or phone to the Comand system?
Also, any recommendations for checking if my engine cam adjusters are wearing and when I should change my MCT trans fluid, at 65,000km someone told me but not sure if that's true.
Sorry for all the questions but I thought this forum might know answers cuz always enjoyed being a part of it a year or two ago when I owned a 2016 C450.

The scheduled maintenance for the MCT oil and filter change is - 60000KM or 4 years. Based on time it is past due on your 2012 C63.
The cam adjusters will be noisy at startup if they are worn and there is a lot of description of this if you search the forum.

The USB port does NOT charge my iPhone 11 Pro Max directly using a lightning cable.
However, I got a wireless phone car charger cradle that uses USB-C and the port DOES power that which in-turn charges my iPhone.

The port you speak of barely charges my phones. With the phone closed, it'll trickle a charge in just slightly enough to charge it up. When the phone is open, it'll drain at a slightly slower rate. I had to get a usb port that I plug into the cigarette lighter to actually charge the phone.
