I daily my C63 with VRP LTH.
I had ZERO fitting issues, and I have done nearly 8000 km this season. Not one single issue!!
The car sounds absolutely INSANE!

Dude every single header for our cars requires to either get rid of that bar or put washers in to clear the 3in pipes.

Some people bash the pipes in also. There is no other way to fit 3in piping with the bar there.

not true mine fit just fine with the bar.
Get rid or get washers, sure doesn’t compromise the purpose of that brace at all. Other header manufacturers put a bend into the midsection to make it fit.
VRP midsection is straight and not even attempting to clear the brace.

Who arh, mbh ,fi and weistec all don't clear the bar. Is your setup 3in piping?

I'm selling an mbh 3in x pipe that goes exactly where this bar crosses and it will 100% not fit without hitting the bar.

And this brace is there to catch the exh from falling. it has zero effect on the handling of the car.

The brace is there to reinforce the transmission/driveshaft tunnel. It’s functional. MBH used to sell a new brace that works with their pipes. Ultra Racing also sells a more robust brace, although its straight like OE. I use spacers/washers on mine. It’s there for a reason and it’s not to keep the exhaust from falling off.

I never felt a difference with it off lol actually saved weight

Most of them have a bend even OE sec. cat.

MBH is straight but they seem to be able to supply a brace as well.


Point is If a brace has to be removed or modified (I would weld it) it's not plug and play.
Just like with other items they sell.

I have 3" tubes, bar still attached in oem location, no washers or any bends on the bar, no nothing.
CKS headers with their front pipes clear with no issues.

In all of the header installed pictures the splash shields are not installed. Are you running without the shields or have the just not been installed?
Would there be any harm running without having the shields in place?
