I have a friend that has the Reentech. He did dyno and he gained 4-5 Hp. I have the carbonio, I havent done any dyno but I am assuming I am inthe same boat. I will go for the carbonio because the extra carbon fiver you get. But I will highly suggest you to invest into headers or a tune

Carbon fiber is easy to resurface if you’re willing to put in a bit of elbow grease. Discoloration or superficial defects shouldnt prevent you from buying if it’s otherwise perfectly functional.

Thats the think... if it were cheaper id be willing to take on the task of refinishing it but that only a few hundred off new price. And for that id rather wait for Renntech to run another batch.

Exactly. At $1500 it might be worth buying and putting in the 5-10hrs of work to get the finish perfect, then flip for $1800. AT $1800 though? PASS
Still probably worth buying if you’re gonna use it though.

Considering mint ones have sold for a couple hundred bucks less, the price on that beat up one is silly to me. Looks like an older design iteration as well.
Patiently (somewhat) waiting for a clean example of the latest revision to come up for sale used.

edit: forget it. I just went to renntech website and I see a huge difference in design. I’ll use this against him to see if I can get it a lot lower

That’s actually a great point. Didn’t even notice it’s the old style. Not worth it at any price, just wait.

Thats version 2 in the listing. I have the V1.
No difference really - Renntech stated the MAF locations / Mounts were upgraded in V2. Other than that, its just aesthetics between V1 and V2.

I believe there were more than 2 design iterations and highly doubt that eBay one is the latest.
Current photo on RT's site (rear mounted MAF sensors):
Actual photo of what appears to be the latest design (rear mounted MAF sensors + reinforced bolt holes):
The one on eBay looks like it was discovered in a forgotten section of their workshop/warehouse. Which is fine, if it wasn't listed for $1,800.
