so basically compared to eurocharge you guys are just able to log and dial more parameters with hp tuners and thats way more benefical then what eurocharge does?
Do you have a side by side comparison between Eurocharge and your tunes?
So far I like the EC tune I have but based on my experience with another car, some tunes are better than others and I like the idea of being able to makes changes myself. I have experience with standalone ecu's so working with HP tuners shouldn't be a problem.
Can I use HP tuners to backup my EC tune and switch back and forth between tunes?
HP tuners is definitely the most powerful tuning software for our cars.
My car was previously tuned using different software (Alientech I think).
It made good power. But then we decidedly to tune using HPtuners, as this allows you to play with the variable valve timing.
My car picked up massively in the low and mid range, with decent gains on top.

we don't compare our tunes against other tuners as we are the only public tuner on mbworld that offers a complete custom tuning service. many of our customers have had tuners from various vendors and have had many positives things to say once switching over to us. feel free to do a search. if you have a dimsport handheld programmer from another tuner, you can switch back and forth between their tune and our tune if that is what you'd like to do.
the misconception is tuning is tuning is tuning. this shows your lack of understanding of what is tuning and what is not tuning. standalone tuning is a cake walk in comparison to Bosch Motronic tuning. the Bosch Motronic computer has over a thousand maps...so many I have not attempted to count them and they all interact with one another. nothing like a standalone where you can simply touch one thing and it affect one thing.

You obviously didn't understand my question if you come back with that when I'm asking you simple Yes or No questions.

I guess I'll ask HP tuners
hey mate, i tried two different companies for "canned" tunes before i went with Barry. Check my post history, i have some side by side comparisons between different companies tunes. With dyno graphs and dragy times.
Barrys tunes are arguably the best on the market. The customer service is second to none. Most companies, one they have your money they wont help you with any issues or answer any questions you may have. Barry will work with you to develop your tune into something that is optimised for your car and driving style.
I have yet to chuck my car on a dybo yet with Barry's Sport tune, which is a revision of his base tune made using my data logs. From the bum dyno, the sport tune is a masterpiece. The car is responsive in all rpm ranges in any gear, pulls hard to redline and breaks traction if you bury the throttle.

How much will I have to worry about pressure on the motor as sensitive as these engines are?

Or are they pretty bulletproof?
There are guys running 750whp+ on stock cast engines.
Even more on P31 cars.
They run a tight ring gap, but I would say they are very robust for most applications. Of course, depends on how much air and fuel you plan to cram down it's throat. Everything has it's limits.
currently in the process of tuning a customers 4L Whipple. should be fun with power capabilities of 700-1300whp. pretty broad power range for this blower.
470 whp 415 ft/lbs on 3 runs
no tuning done on dyno, simply made some quick map updates to an old tune and slapped the car on the dyno
+6% to a dyno jet equates to 498.2whp and 439.9ft/lbs
.
91 octane
2007 e63 amg (m156)
engine 165k miles
factory engine opened to replace headbolts
original camshafts missing a bit on the lobes due to wear
original cam adjusters making lots of noise and throwing codes from time to time
original throttle body mounting plate leaking air as well
mustang dyno (6-12% lower reading than a dynojet)
hammer tune by @eightysixtuned
.
mod list, lth, and high flow injectors
the dip is when they turned on their Dyno fan which seems to flow crazy air compared to their previous Dyno fan.
FYI, 82mm or larger throttle bodies work with our tunes without issue. we also do offer an optional add on if folks are looking for us to remap the larger throttle bodies to be smoother at take off.
Finally got around to gathering some videos to outline the improved shift performance. We always recommend a proper tune to help with shift performance before a customer spending more money on other transmission mods.
Hey hacriroku I filled out the form on the website and sent you an email as well regarding the tune, could you please respond to that or DM me? Thank you
