2013 Mercedes C63 AMG
Where do I start?
With my review I am by no means implying that other options out there are not suitable or a positive experience. I’m here to talk about Barry @ 86Tuned.
Our relationship started two years ago when I was looking to tune my current 2013 C63. On my previous PFL C63, years ago, I ended up doing a OTS tune. Where there was really no data logging or adjusting your tune, you got what you got. I can’t say that the experience was negative, but this time around I was searching for custom tuning. Someone who was willing to look at my log data, listen to my needs, and adjust accordingly.
Customer Support
I have over 40+ emails between me and Barry over the last 2 years. We have countless conversations over IG as I was dealing with a small issue with my car. At no point did Barry ever get bothered by it. What you pay is what you really get. A true Customer Service. 5/5
TUNES
I have multiple tunes from Barry. From Sport, to Sport Plus, the Hammer Tune, Nitrous tune. All of his tune never gave my car any issues. Not a single problem at all. He adjusted each one to my specifications and my feedback. And we continue to play with the tunes to this day.
ROI
Barry may seem little overpriced to some, but I guarantee you it’s money well spent. You will truly get custom tuning to your specifications. You will receive the customer support that he advertises.

Great info @Slow_c63 . Thanks for sharing your experience!
Curious about the differences between a custom dyno tune from a reputable tuning shop and Barry's tune?

PS, I have put roughly 17,500 miles on Barry’s tunes and not a single hiccup. Not a single CEL light. I have also gone through 10 bottles of nitrous with zero issues.

What did you do with your VVT? I want to take advantage of some of the possibilities with tight LSA of 104-112 degrees.

Thats because you’re comparing manufacturers numbers which are measured at the crank, to his dyno numbers, which are numbers that are measured at the wheels. A stock m156 atleast on a c63 will put down around 390-410whp on a dyno even though its advertised as 451hp.
