E85 kit and car smog
I live in California and was wondering...Would my car pass smog if I have an EFuel Fuel kit with 630cc fuel injectors and a stock tune? Currently, I have ROW Airboxes, secondary cat & resonator deletes with straight pipes, and a tune from RaceIQ.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I don’t think having my secondary cats & resonator should be a problem when getting a smog since they are unmonitored anyway. But I do still have my primary cats on the car. I was just worried about the E85 kit. Also, would it be bad for my car running the stock tune with the flex fuel kit and bigger injectors?

Your secondary cat and resonator delete will result in an instant fail and trip to the state ref. There’s zero question about it.

That’s good to know. That’s funny because I bought the car used from a private dealership. In any case, I do have a smog person. Thanks for the info.

injectors not being factory with additional wiring from them and the secondary cat delete will automatically fail visual in California. both will result in a flag on your VIN for modification to SMOG equipment. failed due to smog equipment is very different than "Modification to Smog or Metering Equipment" in California. you do not want to be in the system for this. once flagged you may need to goto a State Referee or be logged for 1-3 concurrent Smog to only be done through a State Ref or GOLD Smog Station.
