C180/C200 to C63 possible?
Fortunately, the wheelbase is same. There’s a considerable difference in length and minimal in width. Normally, just swapping a c63 hood on c200 would extend out. However, if I swap the complete front end including hood, fenders, grill & bumper, it should all fall in place. No cutting, bolt off - bolt on swap.
If you need a kidney transplant, they take the kidney from the donor and put it in your own body. They don't take all of your organs, muscles, skin, nerves, blood vessels, your entire head and all limbs and try to move and attach everything to the spine and rib cage that the kidney originally came in, which is exactly what you're trying to do here.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
A more sane engine swap would have been to buy a C300 with an M272 engine and put in an M273 E55 V8 with the 382 hp from any number of donor cars as everything between the two is virtually identical, but hey, some people enjoy the pain. If it were me, I'd build up that M271 I4 in the C200 and twincharge the $h!t out of it. Volvo does it on all of their production cars. Merc has been reliably running 27 psi of boost on all of their "45" AMG engines producing about the same amount of power as an M273 does (~381 hp) without major issues, and with a supercharger to help down at low revs you'd eliminate lag as well. That would have been a neat project.

20k is your average. A clean history, clean title, no water damage examples will go for 25k+ at auctions. Then you have to think of auction fees, Transportation, Import tax, Etc.... it’s definitely not cheap. Then in most cases you don’t know what to expect. It might be listed as engine running, but not engine running with a nock. It’s definitely a gamble.
C63's in Australia are still hovering around the 35-40k mark for a 2009. If you want something newer or a 507, expect to pay upwards of 65k.
ChrapesCheapest ive ever seen is 29k, but that was for a 2009 that was a repairable write off, meaning the car has been crashed, and the insurance company deemed it too expensive to repair so it was scrapped. It couldn't be registered in NSW, so it would need to be taken overseas or into a different state, or used for racing.
I paid 50k for mine like 4 years ago. With covid pushing tje prices up of all cars, mines currently worth 65k
breaks my heart to open up a running c63 but this is the only way. Now a period of long wait as other 5 cars go through the same process.
