I have a 2012 and I find my car gets there quite quickly with some spirited driving. It is getting warm but probably not considered overheating. Anything more for extended periods you might want to consider shorter OCIs.

the thermostat tries to keep the temps at 100c. fans kick on from my experience on my E63 at 120-125c on dash. anything past 129-135c is hot. if you get into 145c low quality oils will begin breaking down and sheering.

with that being said, the W204 C63 has inadequate cooling from the factory and only the Black Series and any optioned with the 44o cooling package will experience high oil temperatures in any spirited driving.

My oil temps run 104-106°C on hot days if I am just normally driving without excess throttle. Modern synthetic oil is fully capable of handling 115°C but it does seem a little high if it is during normal driving with decent airflow and ambient temps at 30°C or less.

My car sees 115-118°C oil temp at the race track on days below 30°C or hot days with light rain and 125-127°C oil temp on hot dry 34-35°C days at the road course.

if your car has a fair amount of miles maybe check that your oil cooler isn't somewhat clogged to airflow with bugs or dirt or debris

Mine used to see 112-115C temps in traffic and 17-118 from spirted drives on hot days 30+C.
Now with Svens bigger oil cooler and removal of auxiliary cooler fan in front fender I very rarely see above 107C.

115-127C at a track days? You must have the 44o option or aftermarket oil coolers, since there's no way those temperatures stay there on stock setup. Even with tracking in 20C days, after a few laps on S+/M the temps on stock w204's easily climb past 130C. Did you happen to also modify the airflow like bumper or rad plate?

My oil temperature fluctuates between 107C-120C with normal driving, not going fast. Does this seem normal to you?

normal depends on ambient temps, but 100-125c is normal for daily driving. in traffic stop and go temps will easily get to 125c during the hot summer time before fans kick on then drop to 115c at least for the W211 E63.

nope, no oil cooling mods. We've already had this discussion on the oil cooler thread. I have been accused of driving slow, by people who ride around the track with their traction nannies on, I have been told my sensor must be broken, lol. Maybe it's the 1/2+mile straightaway at Palm Beach Raceway or the fast high banks of the speedway at the daytona road course that allows enough airflow to help cooling, could be some tunes are better than others for temps, one guy theorized that those driving with TC on sport instead of off might be raising their temps....but I watch temp closely at the track and that's how it runs. Argue with it if you want but that's how it is. Low mileage 2015 507.

what about airflow bumper mods?

but also you're on a factory tune right?...so you're only seeing maybe 70-80% of max power.

no airflow mods.I have a tune, airboxes, headers, high flow cats, throttle bodies. Headers and downpipes are coated.
I think a fair percentage of the guys reporting high oil temps on the oil cooler thread are factory tune.
track days around here are 3 20 minute sessions,, cool down lap,, 45 min to an hour between sessions and I blow a fan on top of engine,, and a fan under the car from the rear across the diff cooling fins and trans pan cooling fins so things heat soak as little as possible between sessions. Highest oil temp I have seen is low 260s. Like I said PBIR is a short track but has over a half mile back straight and Daytona obviously has lots of high speed sections. Anytime you go over 120 you can see the oil temps start to drop.
if I start doing hooked on driving events i might consider the oil.cooler option since its twice as many sessions in a day.
Sorry didn't mean to hijack the OP's thread
