I like options and this seems very promising. I’m curious to see what “indian kid” puts down. His seems like a m156 build never seen before. Fully built longblock with a 4L…. No corners cut it seems…Turn up the boost!!
I think it’s awesome someone else is coming out with a supercharger. However, I’d suggest a smaller supercharger to help with the cost. A 2300 or 2650 is more than enough for this motor and will have a higher fun factor in my opinion. Having owned more supercharger cars with different blower sizes i always found the instant torque from a mid size blower to be way more fun than the larger blowers as they do take time to build torque and boost. Just my opinion. If you have a good intercooler and heat exchanger heat soak shouldn’t be an issue

With our complementing parts and tuning, this system is capable of running 8 second quarter miles. It also bolts on very nicely, is all inclusive, and can make more power than the competition at 7psi, not 15.

I took some high-speed video of what happens to the supercharger belt on rev-limiter bouncing... it was scary enough to change my driving style.
lol, not only that, but the sound of the supercharger noise and bypass valve going off probably wasn't a pleasant sound either. one of our early customers asked for a popcorn tune and literally every pop out of the exhaust, the supercharger sounded like it was dry heaving. we no longer offer this even at the request of the vehicle owner. cogged belts are something that are generally only offered on centrifugal superchargers and only in race spec where belt slip occurs upon acceleration.
the sledgehammer pulley and belt arrangement though is more than adequate and is the best solution. similar setups on other brand vehicles hold up 1,500whp and beyond.
All I know is I’m making 1000hp with a very efficient 9psi on a 2300 Mag unit. A 4.0L is way overkill and robbing efficiency!!! I’m sure it’s a cool conversation but far from necessary on the M156 and has a long road to go on proven success lol.

That long road to proven success you speak of was also built by the 4L whipple unit. That is the compressor that set a long standing 9.1 quarter mile overall mercedes record time and people were fooled to think it was the 2.9L. If you know you know I guess.
The TVS2300 is a better design and more efficient, BUT the largest blower which is now discontinued for the M156. Also, it is not a 1,300 whp capable blower. The TVS2560 is the direct competitor to the Whipple 4L.

1000hp? With the little 2300? So have you gone low 9s or high 8s down the 1/4?
