w204 C63 Engine Whining Under HARD ACCELERATION
Hey everyone, new to this group. i have a 2012 w204 c63 coupe. I've never noticed this before, but there is a high pitched whine that happens when i accelerate the car hard.
I don't hear it from the inside, but obviously its there because every time my buddies videoed me on the straight, the sound is very obvious. Has anyone had this problem before?

If talking about the sound that starts around 9 seconds, that's a very unusual sound/whistle. Almost like something is resonating/vibrating with the exhaust. Do you hear it when you are driving around normally with the windows down?

There is only one car with a M156 in there... it's the last car in the video, and it sounds perfectly healthy. The thing in front is what is making the only whining noise I can hear.

whistling is not something that occurs normally with anything with the W204 or M156. i would inspect all splash guards to ensure they're not hanging down due to missing nuts/bolts.

Check the engine mounts, just to be sure.. mine had bad mounts and made a weird whining noise under hard load (accel AND decel) downshift hard and see if you hear the same noise, if yes check the mounts.

The noise in the video is NOT FROM THE C63. Can we please let this thread die now?
