Tire opinion - rear or all four corners
New-ish owner here. I have a 2014 C63 507 coupe, and I'm looking at tires this summer. Right now I have Yokohama Advan Sport V105. The wrinkle is the fronts still have medium tread left - 7/32nd. The rears however are at 3/32 or less. I can do matching Yokohama tires in the back for $800, or all four corners with Michelin Pilot Sports for $1600 (this is Canadian dollars btw).
Curious if owners would suggest just doing fresh rubber in the rear, or bite the bullet and do all four (in which case I sense the Michelins are one of the better options).
Slightly related question - do owners here tend to go wider in the back - 265 rather than the factory 255?
Thanks in advance for any help!

People around here go all the way to 275 Pilot Sports for the rear on stock. Why replace the fronts if they still have tread? You're going to wear out the rears faster anyway.

I will be honest, I worked in tire shops when I was younger and hated Michelin tires. I bought ps4s for my car and love them. Great tread wear and actually hook decently on my 700whp car and I recommend at my own shop now.
I do suggest going to a 245 up front and 275 in the back.

I'm in Florida where we can get away with a summer tire in the winter. That said, I switched to the Pilot All-Season (version 4 I think). They have MUCH better treadwear than than performance tires, with a little less grip. I'm running 265s on the rear. Keep in mind you should check the actual measurement width of tires. Not all 265" tires are the same actual width. As for changing the fronts or not, I'd say it depends on how you're going to drive it. If you're doing launches and pulls from a start in straight line, you'll wear the rears much more than the fronts. Short of running autocross, even if you baby the throttle, you'll still wear the rears out faster than the fronts.

Being your in Toronto I agree with Skullbox15 on maybe fitting Michelin all seasons in 265 or 275 on rear.
At least with those you won't get caught out if an early winter were to hit you.
Those yoko's are a fantastic dry weather tyre but not that good in wet.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I don't drive the car in the winter (in storage way before the snow comes!) so I'm thinking I'll stay with stickier summer tires. I prefer the Michelins but I'm leaning towards saving $1K by just doing the rear tires based on some of what I'm hearing.
So the 275/30/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are 10.9" wide according to what I looked up online - members are using these on stock rims? Based on that, the Yokohama 275/30/19 Advan Sport are 10.8" so I think I'm safe.

So I did the 275 width Yokohama Advan Sports - just fits. At the tightest spot in the wheel well, I'd say there's less than a finger's width of space. Also realized the car's tires existing (stock) tires were Advan Sport V103 - a slightly different tread (narrower grooves). Thank you to everyone for your advice. :-)
