255 18 40 up front possible

09 c63 —-Im still learning the stock suspension(non p30 with factory lsd)so I’ve been content with the height and I’m not ready to make the switch to coil-overs. The perks has been I do have room to run bigger tires. I’m currently 18 inch 245 F and 275R which has been a night and day experience from the factory setup.

In the evo community we would run 255 on a 8 inch wheel and pS4S tires I believe run more narrow.
anyhow can we run a 255-275 combo on the oem 5 spoke wheels. ik 8.5 inch more ideal for 255 but anyhow we done it before in the past in other platforms with great results.

Im just curious if it rubs and where is the rubbing happening?? Is it on the inside or outside towards the fender.

bc I’m also willing to run H&R spacers and I have been debating about doing it.

I also always saw a potential for a
265 40-18 Front
265 40-18 Rear
Square setup with oem hieght setup or coilovers close to oem hieght
but it would def be a far fetched idea vs running 255-275 combo

but I’m yet to see anyone attempt this.

just always wanted to get as much rubber on the car as possible but I do realize there are many limitations to the design of the non black series cars.

Get some w212 E63 multispoke wheels. I fit 265 Toyo R888's on the front. which run very wide. No spacers necessary. The car will still understeer on the track but it's much better. bulged tires on thin wheels do not aid in traction .

wow! do you have any photos? 265mm R888R's in 19's on my W211 fit but not safe enough to not rub something which would impede usability.

yeah I'm interested in a pic as well I would have thought a 265 to just be impossible on the front without some sort of fender work. Impressive

I'll dig up pics, pretty sure I posted some a while back of it. Car is not lowered, as this screws up the suspension geometry and would bottom out everywhere. 18" or 19" what is the difference? just copy of the offset. If you go full lock you will get extremely minor rub on the inside of the frame, never heard or felt in the car. Only know from seeing it while on the lift.

I’m from the northeast so we try to stay with 18’s

but I could also replicate those E.T’s on another rim and then run the setup

but your 265 up front 275 rear now

I’ve spoken to a guy with the p30 e63 wheels on a c63 he was running

265 front and 285 rear

I know people are sleeping on this but this is some interesting info for the oem height people

even if I did coilovers I doubt I’d lower the car just Too many headaches for a sedan

my z06 c6 was on the ground literally so I’m over that scene

So, if I'm reading right, you have same size 265/30x19 tires F&R on 8.5/ET35 front and 9.5/ET40 rear E63 W211 wheels.
Or are they later E63 wheels on 9"/ET35 front and 9.5"/ET52

Im running 255/40/18 on the front and 275/35/18 on the rear with no rubbing, stock suspension

I like the extra curb protection the wider 255 tire give.
Have been looking at clearences and I might be able to do similar on 19" wheels on my w204 estate.
Currently run 245/35x19 and 275/30x19 on 8.5" & 9.5" W205 wheels.
Would love to fit 255/35 and 285/30 tires.
Not worried about outright handling with a slightly baggy tire.

May I ask where you bought your front bumper from?
