Any of you black series guys interested, I found this in the suggestions area of the forum @GarlicBread suggested it earlier this year and I think it is a great idea, the same as there is a subforum for the CLK63 guys have. Maybe if a few more people comment we can make it a reality. I was also thinking it would be nice to just start collecting info and starting a registry document somewhere either hear or linked here to just collect a list of all the cars, maybe VIN and color and options as a thought? I have been collecting data for a year from various sales as a start but happy to make it the start of a document we can all update here.

Edit - adding USA ordering Guide as an attachment so everyone knows what the options are, would love to collect other locations guides to see the differences - like all US cars get Panoramic Option, some locations got SolarBeam Yellow as a color option etc.

Edit - @eddyngojr did a fabulous job compiling a registry on VINWIKI and it makes more sense to do it there as the whole community contributes and anything anyone finds we can sweep up in the registry there. That being said, I will contribute there going forward and I will stop updating the antiquated spreadsheet. I have removed the spreadsheet link as it will no longer be updated and I have added it attached here as a static document for anyone that wants it for reference.

Here are the lists on VINWIKI

+1 to this, globally there is a higher production number on this vehicle than either of the CLK63BS & SL65BS, definitely deserves its own space.

Great idea! With only 800 examples produced for the world this shouldn't be all that hard to collect this data. I'm in!

Here is where I have gotten with documenting sales for the past year or so and anything I could find with info on one, I have about 1/4 of the 2012 cars in the US and a few of the 2013 cars, a few Canadian cars 15% or so and a spattering of ROW cars mostly in the UK.

on a complete tangent, do you guys use battery tender / trickle-charger on your C63BS? I found an open-connector (blue?) inside the black cubby-cover on the passenger-side inside the trunk, just behind the rear tail-light area, it sort of shape like the connector that is behind the driver-side tail-light area in my CLK63BS, not sure if that's where the MB battery tender (by CTEK) can be connected to.

I think that blue connector I saw on even my non BS car, think it is used for shipping or something if I recall. I do use a battery tender, I just put the pigtail directly on my battery terminal bolts and have the connect stick out from under under the floor inside the trunk.

I would love to have a C63 Black Series sub forum! This car is so special, I was stunned there wasn't one like there was for my CLK63 Black Series.

For WDDGJ7HB7CF865808 the options on that car are:

799 Diamond White
741 Black MB Tex/DINAMICA with Red Stitching
224 Rear Seat 4-Seat Confirguration
770 19" 10-Spoke Forged Allow Wheel (these are the polished wheels, NOT the black wheels)

I never knew that the Black Series was actually an option package (P98) kind of like the ZR-1 Pakage on Corvettes. An option package almost equal to the price of the base car that it is going on. LOL!

Ya that is funning P98 +$43,570 on a base of 61k plus other options, thanks for the updates - I list it as no options as I have color in another column (and diamond white was a no cost option) 741 is standard on all cars, 224 was standard on US cars and covered in the seat configuration column and 770 is the standard no cost wheel (black was extra), so only covering the options that added cost in the options column.

I don't want to be the boss of all things though if anyone thinks it is worth tracking all option, cost or not we can add the full list that the order guide has.

It was a planned limited production run. While the 2012 did have a window sticker that showed it as an add on option the 2013’s came with a full CBS window sticker to fix that.

Id say more like a corvette C5-R

you're absolutely correct, i've just tried fitting over the connector from the MB battery tender that i used for the CLK63BS over and it couldn't connect with that blue connector, I'll try to look behind the drive-side tail light later tonight and see if I can find one there, that's where it is in all CLK63BS'.

Good eye! I bet the aeros were taken off (parted out) at the auction yard. Looks like even the alcantara/dinamica gear selector grip/handle was removed and doubt that happened in the accident.

Here's another one for the registry. Seems like Canadians are dumping their C63 BS's... they know something we don't?

wish it's equipped with the original OEM aero-pkg pieces instead of aftermarket, otherwise it's looking pretty mint!

Added to registry and I think the strong US dollar, Canadian $ is only 70 cents and the 160-180k sales price of the last 2 of these means 225k - 250k in your Canadian pocket!

this car was sold during the Monterey Car week (Broad Arrow Auction) in August just earlier this year's Summer: https://www.classic.com/a/broad-arro...eries-4MlNAKp/

whomever bought it was likely a dealer (or have a dealer license), it was never registered thereafter for private-use, at least on paper; the vehicle listing on BaT shows the vehicle location in Pewaukee,Wisconsin 53072

You can post it here if you like as it will be in the spreadsheet and public anyway and then delete once I have it added by editing the message, or you can post a bit more, I think you need maybe 10 posts to unlock PM's or possibly ask a moderator to unlock you as you have been a member for a few months.
