I’m not sure MBworld moderators are taking this as seriously as they should. Mode Carbon had every chance to address these two members issues but failed at that for months now. I also find it hard to believe these are isolated cases. I’m not sure why some are asking more members to report their bad experience on here, we’ve seen and heard enough to know Mode Carbon are screaming people. I don’t have faith in Mode Carbon any more and I’m not sure I’ve got faith in our moderators either, until we hear from them on this. Likes of BMW forum quickly ended Mode Carbon sponsorship soon after their members reported unaddressed issues…

I haven’t feel the need to post in this thread again until now. Mode Carbon never competed my order, or answered my questions on when it would/could be completed. I ended up filling a charge back with my credit card company to get my payment back. After I started the thread in November of 2022, Mode Carbon then PM me several times asking to remove my post from the form since it’s negatively affecting their business. I let them know what I posted were my true experience with them up until that point, and that I would update the post if that experience change (i.e. they fix their errors). But they never did. They were way more responsive with these correspondences than they were with any of my previous email/PM asking about the status of this order in the previous four months.

During the last five months, three others from members, who have not publicly posted in this thread, had PM me telling me that they had similar experiences with Mode Carbon. I ask that they come out publicly here too so it doesn’t seems like only a few of us are in this boat.

I too run my own business so I know that it’s hard to please every customers. But I also know the baseline etiquette is to make a promise and deliver on it. And when you can’t do so, own it, apologize for it, and make it right. None of that were done with this vendor.

It’s no surprise that other forums had cut it with Mode Carbon. Let’s see how long it takes for this to happen here.

@Lizard , can you have them all PM @Robb M.. If there are 3 others that makes 5 members in total with the same experience. That should be enough evidence to remove them as a sponsor and prevent other members from making the same mistake.

I need to weigh in here as well. This should not be taken lightly. I had the exact same experience two years ago. The same saga went on for 6 months or more until i finally received product. It was brutal and reading all of these comments lately brought back all the bad memories. I sure don't see this as only a few people being affected. Seems much more chronic than that and should be treated with seriousness.

Thank you pbaylog for the post. Also a thank you to the other senior member who sent the PM to admin yesterday and included me on it. Your experience echo what I and other have been through with this vendor. There are more than just one or two people in this boat.

Once finally delivered, which seems still hasn't happened here, is Mode's quality worth the price hike over nearly every other brand I can find?

No. In fact it’s much worse - very thin carbon veneer with no support structure, easily damaged. RWCarbon holds up far better.

Its not difficult nor unreasonable. I will definitely status this thread if it ever actually gets resolved, but as I said previously, this is NOT resolved until he delivers.
I was involved in a car accident in Nov 2020 and we had 50 orders pending and I was hospitalized for 3 weeks. I have doctors proving that I was not at the office. We were not able to ship any orders and we had $45,000 worth of charge-backs. They put me on mood stabilizers and my car was wrecked. They weren't able to complete the car in time and the state suspended my license.

During the summer I was receiving medical attention. We are very sorry for the delays and we promise that we will provide the parts.

No one is questioning your health claims or that you had some personal issues going on . But if you take funds to provide a service or hood you have to deliver. If you can't you don't accept payment and or you tell people look it's going to be months or years to get your product you purchased due to these issues. Your replies to emails sugguests a never ending live of excuses and poor customer service. You haven't delivered or provided the parts people have ordered yet you are placing adds looking for more orders. Doesn't add up... your postings on this forum look unprofessional and smell of bs. Unfortunate I think you have done serious damage to your credibility. Not sure how that's hard to understand or what you think posting endless posts about you had life problems two years ago would solve this. People paid, and never received no excuses no thus that abd the other. It's that simple

I’m confused. Do people either have their money back or the product at this point? How can this guy keep getting away with this? Credit card chargebacks should resolve this quickly, no?

You're sorely mistaken as I've pointed out to you other users on this site that have been ripped off by mode carbon (here's most recent user CryptoNerd that I pointed out in another thread exactly one month ago). https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post8757292 You / MB World continue to enable his antics his by allowing him to be a sponsor on here - keep it up and MBworld's reputation will go down just like his.

See below - sounds like $45k in chargebacks which means no product. I have never received any products.

You're surprised by the amount of chargebacks given you never delivered the goods? And when you say offered a free replacement, did you actually send the replacement or just more lip service like usual?

this thread should be sticky with such helpful reminders to steer away from mode carbon; until then, it will be bumped to the top every time that scammer bump one of his own.

Mode Carbon never came back to address the very people he took advantage of.... @Robb M. indicated last week (April 3rd) you were going to remove all of his threads by end of day if he didn't provide a satisfactory response.

See below - sounds like $45k in chargebacks which means no product. I have never received any products.

You're surprised by the amount of chargebacks given you never delivered the goods? And when you say offered a free replacement, did you actually send the replacement or just more lip service like usual?

your history of bad business ethic was how your company has earned this negative reputation, you are not the victim here, dancing around the issue won't clean anything up.

you took the order, has the customer info, man up & deliver, otherwise bye Felicia.
