C63 w204 over 850 hp????
Hey whats up you guys. So not sure if this question been asked before or not but i am currently doing some mods on my c63 at the moment. ( current mods -row boxes, afe dry filters, fi exhaust, carbon fiber intake, and ipe headers) tune- stage 2 also got a tcu tune runs way better after that. So my question is that i was at my mechanics place getting a oil change and he told me that when this beautiful mechine hits passed 850 hp that i will start seeing problems with the engine and trans. Has anyone hit over that and experienced that???? He also told me the only way around it is to have the engine/trans built but he also told me that will cost me around 20k😔😔😔

The MCT trans is good for 750 crank HP before it starts needing work.
I've seen 900-some crank HP cars running all stock internals, but might have been cars with forged internals.

You will need to rebuild transmission once you hit the 700hp range. Even with a P31 C63 the weak point are the rods. Anything over 800hp a engine rebuild would be recommended. The PTG is the best on the market in my opinion. The VRP is good as well but needs a boost pulley IMO. I have not seen anyone running it but the design is really nice. Weistec Stage 3 is what I have with rebuilt transmission. Luckily I don't worry about emissions..lol.
For E85....my friend has it and with your current mods you should be around 600hp but you will need to re-tune your car.
All HP numbers are approximate. because all cars are different and all tuners are different. Just giving you an idea on where things should be.

P.S. Non P31 is better for boosting due to ring gap differences. Also stock engine can handle 750whp or more. I know someone in Canada who ran 800whp for 2 years straight on stock internals.

I have been running VRP supercharger. It is a great kit and has the most efficient whipple out of any kit in the market. More efficient means you can make more from lower boost and keep the IATs in check. Overall the experience is awesome. Feel free to reach out on IG @amgroar if you have any questions. Good luck.

though i haven't checked, the P31 piston ring gap is said to be smaller than non-P31 forged piston motors.
the engines themselves can handle 850bhp with proper tuning regardless of P31 or not. beyond that, those who have were on built motors for various reasons.

I went with PTG, waiting for it to be shipped…. If u want to make more power in the future then PTG is it… PTG said 700whp with their largest pulley and with supporting mods and on 91oct it will be insane!…. Will update after I receive the kit….
