Caliper refinishing (the right way) in my opinion

Like a lot of things I do, I just see what the Porsche guys are doing as they are all typically more **** about their cars than anyone else and they all use PMB Performance in Utah. https://pmbperformance.com/
So I worked with Isaac over there and he was very meticulous and made sure everything was perfect, called me several times and verified everything along the way with color, logo's placement etc.
They have a graphic artist for all the logo work and they do their refinishing process as far as I can find as close to OEM as possible. I think we all know that powder coating is not recommended, these are painted base clear and the log is silk screened onto the caliper (not vinyl) so it is perfectly embedded under the clear like OEM with no raised area that you can feel on the logo.
These guys go above and beyond, they rebuild the calipers new bleeders etc and strip and fully refinish to your spec, they over package them and they come back perfect despite what UPS might try!
So I can't recommend them enough, this is the second time I have used them and will always go back, if you want perfection these are the guys for you.

You mention that powder coating is not recommended, mind sharing why that is?
Also how long was the turnaround with PMB? And what did you do with the car while the calipers were off with PMB, assuming you left it up on jack stands or lift the entire time?
The calipers look great btw! I have the red calipers and my clear coat has peeled as well. Will powdercoat them this summer.

And calipers should NEVER be powdercoated. OEMs don’t do it and neither should you. Plenty of conversation here and elsewhere online if you search. In short, the powdercoating itself traps heat in the calipers and can lead to reduced braking performance.

This can be a problem especially with a braking system

500 for 4 piston pair https://pmbperformance.com/products/...-restoration-2
They are 100 off right now, 50 more for a custom color and they will do any logo you want. They even replated the front caliper to caliper bracket but I am replacing anyway as I think they are single use.
The links above have good info on the process also.
