C63 black series exhaust

I have been trying to figure out for a while how to get a very specific exhaust note on a w204 c63, the c63 black series makes this beautiful exhaust note in Forza horizon 5 that sounds almost like a playing card in a bike wheel, like a clicking sound almost out the exhaust, ive seen some YouTube videos that get a similar sound. does the black series have anything different to it then a normal c63 would? and how could I get this exhaust note? I can attach a video of what sound I mean, it seems to be in higher rpm.

It's a video game with not very accurate sounds. Black series has the same exhaust as a regular one

Black series does sound different stock than all other c63 models and has different exhaust part numbers behind the secondary cats.

yeah the different part number is for the muffler without amg tips and modified pipes to the black series muffler. Otherwise identical. Can also verify they sound identical if I can find a clip from one I had next to a 2014 p31 there is zero difference in sound both cars stock. Up on the lift both cars have the same exhaust manifold, same cats, same resonator, same secondaries and same piping muffler only difference is the pipe out of the muffler

The primary difference in part numbers is likely because the black series tips aren't attached to the mufflers. They are separate and attach to the rear bumper like all the newer models. They use 212 (e class) tips. And to further add most video games even though they try very poorly duplicate exhaust sounds. It's hard to capture exhaust sound as the air volume moving causes lots of distortion in microphone. The black series sounds identical. Honestly it drive's pretty much identical too. Other than slightly stiffer and much better traction. Which makes the car actually feel slower. Since the regular C63 is pretty edgy when you add more tire and better suspension it feels less wild and safer. lol.

I will add that I have catted longtubes with akrapovic slip on muffler, a supercharger and it gives the car a very unique sound compared to any other m156 i've ever heard. It's pretty quite unless you're getting on it. Which is not the case for any other aftermarket cat back or muffler i've heard on these cars. typically stock mufflers are the way to go.

Naturally video doesn't really do it justice. There's a few others of it on the drag strip as well.

The Black Series mufflers might be different inside, in addition to the tips being different. The car sounds quite a bit different in YouTube videos.

Need someone to get in there with a scope to confirm.

When I had both a black series and a 507, the BS sounded louder to me, but I have no science to back it up.

Might just have less sound deadening material in it. These things are pretty well insulated.

it's weird because the one I looked at the owner - regular one and then the 507 that we had in was a friend of his and they both swore it was louder driving around but literally no difference in a shop and on a lift so not sure what it is maybe under load it's different somehow or maybe it's just knowing you are in a bad *** black series so it sounds better 😂

Same here. My BS (seems) louder than standard C63 when they were back to back.

I'm running an OEM C63 AMG Black Series exhaust on my W204 C63 coupe. Can confirm that the Black Series exhaust sounds different.

The stock C63 exhaust sounds great, but the Black Series exhaust sounds magnificent. Both are among the best sounding exhausts ever made...and the Black Series is an improvement.

When Raz from Remove Before Racing test drove a C63 Black Series in Dubai, he said that "one thing the Porsches will never have is this apocalyptic soundtrack" and "I can't explain to you how addictive that sound is."

Should post up a video of yours. And some pics of the mufflers/your exhaust

That's his personal car, not a test drive. Also his is heavily modified if I remember correctly. Case in point, the yellow paint job and modified exhaust so his sound isn't even stock C63 BS.

Im running my BS completely stock, but have no idea if the sound is different or even more significant than a normal C63 or 507. Would have to find a local, stock C63 and compare side by side.

Sounds of popping

My 204 has that popping noise that can be heard from in the car. Personally it gets annoying after a while but I’m 56 not 26. You definitely hear it out the rear pipes I also have the AMG package. The only thing I noticed was the previous owner removed the two mufflers right at the rear of the car and had the pipe extended to the valance and added tips. To each their own I suppose.

uhhh, your 204 is a C300... there's zero relation from everything you've shared, to what's being discussed in this topic, on this part of the forum. lol

the rumbling noise in the exhaust for a M156 is not just the way how the muffler is designed & structured, but it is also tuned by the cross-plane crankshaft within this much larger displacement motor; without going further in details, this specific noise just isn't replicable to a C300, no matter what you do to the exhaust for that 3 liter 6 cylinder M272/M276.
