This is from the Certified list - not really sure how to read this but I'd imagine the car wouldn't be on it if it wasn't certified. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Perhaps they are looking at this from a sales perspective - release just prior to end of Q1 or right at the beginning of Q2?

Fuel Economy of 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is what I was looking at, which Car and Driver references / looks at for the window stickers I guess? No 2023 sedan yet.

If anything for sales, they would want to get them selling before end of Q1 you'd think...

If that's true we are probably a long while out still. The 2023 SL is on that list and has been waiting for monroney label for over a month (which I think goes back on MB to finalize pricing). AKA we have numerous steps to go still before these cars are getting released.

Sucks to have a MY23 getting so long in the tooth that MY24 is almost going into production.

FWIW - I was using this site: https://www.epa.gov/compliance-and-f...-and-equipment

Oh sweet, it's a good sign it's on there at this point. I agree on the model year part. Overall, though, while annoying - I feel much better about it knowing it'll be at the VPC soon. Hopefully that reduces additional wait once the green light is given. Just absolutely insane nobody here has any idea what the status is.

Someone with more experience with this might be able to confirm - it looks like either certain displacement or certification levels require fuel economy to be EPA determined - it looks like the C43 is listed under Manufacturer Determined for Deterioration Factor Type - not sure if that helps speed the process along or relates more to the degradation of fuel economy over the life of the vehicle as opposed to the standard on the window.

So I went to my dealer to get a new build so I could include the studio package and the digital lighting package. They had 3 green allocations so we did the build. When he took it to his Manager to put it in the system they got an error that the allocations were temporarily unchangeable and to check back in a few days. My SA said usually when they get that message you can't change the build but he says he will try again next week.

These 3 allocations build dates were in May. I asked when other allocations may be available and he said he didn't know. He is even thinking that any allocations after the May ones may be 2024 MY allocations and who know how long the builds would take and there would also be a price increase

Soooo I don't know what to do.... maybe just take my current car at the vpc and live with my non digital lights. (I did see standard lights on a c300 today that was off and they really didn't look that bad in person)

There was also a black car that is built but waiting on a ship. It has everything I want except the studio pack plus extra stuff which I didn't really want. MSrP is 73K. But it is plain black not metallic

The locks have been going in really early - unlike my past experience ordering. Hell - I've edited interior options on a car that had an exterior color locked before. Odd that it was green but locked. I would not be surprised if May was the last month of production for MY23.

Alternatively - there WILL be unsold cars that you can pick from once they release the couple hundred on US soil.

I just called a local dealer not mine and they said Q2. I know this could be April but I'm starting to get impatient.

has anyone with a current Mercedes relationship tried to call MBUSA to find out when the cars are scheduled to be officially releases in the USA?
Perhaps escalate the question up the chain? I am sure someone there knows. If it were a BMW I'd call.

Do you think there will be a significant wait to to get a MY24 car? Does all of this EPA stuff have to happen again? It should be essentially the same car as the MY23

I asked to modify my 5/5 build three weeks ago and was told it was locked which is super weird. I also was surprised by how early it was locked.

there’s nothing we can do. I have scoured through the forums on the regular C300 and the W223 and EQS, everyone has tried at one point to call MBUSA or MB and they all say the same thing. No information at this time.

It's EPA certified but not EPA fuel Economy Certified? Still needs a monroney label for official pricing - this looks like 2 months of time IMO. Hard to say if that's conservative or optimistic because something could change on monday. We really don't know where we are at.

I would think end of the year would be your time line - worst case scenario Q1 2024. 2023 C300's took a long time but everything keeps getting a little faster.

My car was locked in Nov for Feb build for reference (and it may have been locked even earlier than that).

I built my C43 at the dealership in August and from what I heard its been sitting at the port in Long Beach. I'm in Hawaii but they said they can't ship it until it is released and I also heard they're waiting on a part with the ETA being unknown.

I’ve been scouring the forums and both the W223 and W206 C300 waited months because of the MPG information was delayed.

The w206 c300 was officially launched on 5/6 and that was the same day the MPG info was finally released. I honestly expect the C43 to be released in May as well based on that.

Maybe by that time, Canada will let the RS3 back in the country again... :|
