I am purchasing, I do not like to lease. I don't like to carry a balance long as well, it sounds like we both do something simiar (except I usually max out around 2-3 years before looking at new ones, depending on circumstances).
Ditto. I leased my A35 and how I use my company car changed halfway through the lease and my mileage went up a lot. I hate that and I also hate the added complexity of getting into another car before the lease is up.
That reminds me, for example in a state with sales tax of 6.25% like in MA, the lease would save you $2000 in taxes as you only pay on amount of a lease.
What do you think I should do then? I was going to put 10k down on my lease to have lower monthly. I have 10,500 cash sitting around from selling a car and I could probably do up to another 10K down from my own money at the most. But obviously, that's if I'm financing.
I do want to wrap my car, idk how I feel about Cirrus Silver, but also, I dont think im going to want this car longer than 3 years. My MSRP was 71,200 and they told me my lease payments are 1017 w tax at 10k down.
Don't do it. Don't. Total rip off. 1k a month plus 10k down means you will spend almost $50k just to lease aka rent the car for 3 years. That's insane. At that point it's better to finance the car as a purchase. Plus the residual value will probably be around 40k at end of lease. And you can buy the car at 40k after already spending 50k on the 3 years which means you will spend 90k on a c43. My God. Nope. We need to see the numbers they gave you. We need the residual. Taxes fees. And MF.

Just thought I'd point it out after discussions on upgraded headlights vs standard. The upgraded headlights have a double light that remains on, versus standard headlights don't. As seen in this picture. I think the 4 lights create a premium look.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit I was equally if not more excited about the start up projection light show, totally worth the $1000, haha.

I might be out of the loop but are any other manufacturers doing this? Definitely a cool party trick and I'm usually not one for gimmicks but I won't mind seeing that on my garage wall

if I’m not mistaken, Audi was the original pioneer when it came to LED/LASER and other headlight technology. I think they had image projections before anyone else including Mercedes
Meant to ask, did you ever receive an update on VIN @alexasa ?
I have a VIN - it cannot be decoded at this time.
I'm curious if any US customers have studio pack confirmed on their build via vin decoding. I tried spot checking on autonatio listed cars but it's far too tedious lol
I still expect the car to be released around the end of the month - not much else has changed since November. I'm not sure where the EPA speculations came from either - albeit this is always a reason why a new model car can be held up but there have been cars here for 6+ months. I also wouldn't be surprised if the configurator wasn't up until post launch. MB USA is so bad at the website management.
We will see. It's really anytime now - very excited to see you all take delivery.
My only concern is the gearbox. I thought newer reviews would not have this gripe - or maybe they are just promoting what others have written/said but MB gearboxes have been one of my least favorite aspects of the cars. I was hoping the new wet clutch would be quicker/snappier and more responsive than the 7 or 9 speed in the mid tier cars of the past and that the initial complaints were going to be addressed with software. I'm not expecting a PDK but something on par or slightly better than the ubiquitous ZF 8 speed would be nice.
One last point of criticism? The gearbox, because the nine-speed automatic transmission with wet clutch reacts a bit lazily and dares to buck, which negates the effect of the electric turbo. There are paddle shifters at the back of the wheel, but they lack the decisiveness you associate with such paddles.

I'm nearly positive that we're getting PS4S, at least with the 20"s. It seems to me the EU, JP & AUS models have them. I have it specced as well. High Performance Tires.

The CLA45 is supposed to come on PS4S but they were coming on an alternative HPS tire, probably directly due to supply chain issues. That no longer seems to be the case (aka supply chain seems healthier) so I'd expect the PS4S.
