Concrete information about the car is still scarce even this late in the year. I was least hoping to know cost and release at this point but my local dealer has nothing. I should have just moved on a lightly used 2021 instead of dragging my feet. I honestly just appreciated the practicality of the hybrid and think this is the best looking C63 they’ve ever made even if it’s not the V8.

The cost would be what the German configuration has - 19%.

I just got an update today that build date which was initially scheduled for Januray has been delayed to mid March

There was an issue with Performance seats not being available. Apparently black leather with red stitching was not available along with red seatbelts.

Performace seats now available but not with black leather and red stitching. Red seat belts not an option on C63, which I thought was weird.

(this is in Canada)

There are a lot of the 2023 C43’s popping up for sale with low miles at deep discounts. I wonder if that’s a result of people being unhappy with the engine or if they’re just having too many issues. It has to at least be part of MB’s delay in getting the C63’s to the US. I wonder if they’re rethinking the price point here and/or trying to clean up technical issues prior to shipping them. The C43’s should be at least a little more simple without the extra battery and motor.

Yeah. Its all a mystery at this point...

This review in German seems to have been positive, but hard to tell as some are positive and a lot are negative. I think, its just going to have to be a wait to see till you drive.

Probably a bit of both. Safe to say Mercedes reliability the last several years has been less the stellar, too much tech. Even high line S and SL models are having issues. Many SL's on the market too. As for the four cylinder issue, most people knew what they were getting, perhaps these were ordered cars that failed to meet expectations. Expect 43 and 63 values to drop hard with all this tech and future ownership liability, buying new comes with enough risk but used...forget it.

The C43 has an issue where molding sand residue was left in the engine block and is contaminating coolant systems. There have been a ton of reports of that over on the AMG and Mercedes Reddit pages. It sometimes takes a month or longer for the dealer to fix, and then there are reports of the CEL coming back on and the issue reoccurring. Seems like this generation of AMGs just might be a colossal cluster****.

Not that this hasn’t been said here and everywhere else but if you’re going to take away what people buy the car for, you better make sure at minimum what you replace it with actually works. Especially if you plan on asking $20k to $30k more than the previous model.

So much for one man one engine. AMG's are just about mass produced now. QC not much better if at all than non AMG's, attribute that to all the crazy add-on's.

Or better yet, don't vote for people who pass the laws that penalize large engines and arbitrary pick the winners and losers by giving the tax breaks only for the cars they approve of.
In many European countries there are taxes based on engine displacements and number of cylinders. And then when manufacturers begrudgingly try to comply trying to design various solutions to the government mandates, they are blamed for it. Next time you ask 'where is my v8?' call your representative and ask him/her

Any truth to the rumor these are going to be delayed until summer 2024 to make adjustments with the car? I wonder if it’s related to issues they’re seeing with the car or they’re trying to find a way to make it cheaper.

There may be yes. My initial build was scheduled for Jan 2024. I was informed a few weeks ago its been pushed to Mid March 2024. This would lead me to expect delivery toward the end of Summer or Fall 2024...

Sorry I was. Where are you based that you’ve been able to order one?

I am in Toronto, Canada.

I think orders opened up in July for USA. In Canada it opened up in mid Oct. That is when I was contacted by my dealer and I was able to configure my spec and have it submitted.

Where abouts are you?

Maryland but I haven’t been contacted about being able to order and I just talked with someone 3 weeks ago. They didn’t know anything about being able to place orders yet.

Yeah, thats weird. Ive talked to someone else on IG who in the States and he told me he put in an order in in July.

The other person I spoke to was benzblogger on IG. She is in sales for Benz in Atlanta and mentioned awhile ago that sales were open in USA.

Maybe drop ger a msg and then contact your dealer saying other people have been able to order so what is the issue.

Dealers all receive a certain number of allocations I guess as well. Thus far, I think my dealer has only received one allocation slot.

Base MSRP in Canada $ 105,000 CAD.

Listed for expected release in "Late Q2 2024".

Yikes. $10k more than a base M3. Why anyone would get this instead of a fully loaded M3 Competition at $120,000 is beyond me.

In Canada, the Base M3 Comp is $ 101, 967 CAD. Considered the M3 comp, but just not a fan of the interior at all.

In Germany in MB online store, C63 is 18% off and has special lease rates if anyone is interested.
You can lease it for around 700 euro which is less than you can lease C43 for from the same store.
