Figured this would be important to note,
As per reddit poster:
"We currently have 2 2023 c43s at our shop experiencing this same problem. Production of the block led to some casting material being left inside of it. There is a process to correct this issue. We are having to filter the coolant to get the material out of the vehicle. It’s a fairly long process in that if your shop is doing it correctly it will take multiple days to clean out, there’s multiple heat and cool cycles the engine needs to go through before we know for sure that all the debris is gone."
It appears this can clog the thermostat and not allow coolant to properly absorb heat / cool the engine, resulting in reduced performance. If the dealer initially replaces only your thermostat, it's possible it will happen again.

Same issue
Got my c43 in December 2023 with 3200 miles on it, seems to have same issue as everyone else thermostat replacement and engine cycling needed. Dropped off beginning of Feb and haven’t received it yet. Hopefully it will return this week. Hoping this isn’t a long term issue love the car other wise.

Is this why there is so many slightly used c43s for sale? In my area alone I saw about 15 c43s with less than 7k miles on them for sale.

No, primary production for the C Class is in Bremen Germany. South Africa is the second largest production plant for the W206, and where all US market cars (including AMGs) are built. W206s are also produced in smaller quantities in China and I believe India and maybe via knock down kit in certain other south east asia countries (thailand, malaysia, indonesia) where local labor is exremely cheap but tax incentives for local market cars make cars built out of country insanely expensive (I'm talking 300% tax if the car isn't assembles locally).

Many likely were loaner cars.
