I don't know what happened but the Burmester on the GLS is the worst.

Congrats

Is it more C or E and why?

How is suspension in comfort on rough roads/or so-so pavement?

Did you get a discount, if so, any trade involved, and did you lease/finance?

How does the trans shift in comfort mode w/o paddles.

How is the exhaust note in/out of vehicle?

How are the massaging seats, and how many little air bags do you feel working in each section? Generally, its either 2,4, or 6 in the lower cushion, and 6 or 8 in the upper.

What are the top three pros/cons?

That's all for now

Is it more C or E and why?
Exterior wise, I would say it's definitely more E than C. From the inside it's harder to judge since the new e class is taking a completely different direction. While it might be a little more C inside, it does not feel cheap on quality in any way inside, and I've driven S classes (which are using a very similar design right now but much higher quality appointments)

How is suspension in comfort on rough roads/or so-so pavement?
In comfort I'd say it's more relaxed than my E53, which is nice for the crappy Chicagoland roads.

Did you get a discount, if so, any trade involved, and did you lease/finance?
Considering I took their first allotment the day orders opened, I was not getting a discount, which I'm OK with. It's probably the only one in the state at this time... Which I like... I financedd

How does the trans shift in comfort mode w/o paddles.
Shifting seemed very similar to my E53, which in comfort seems to shift early. Tomorrow I'll play around more with it on long open roads.

How is the exhaust note in/out of vehicle?
Sound was sharp. I liked how it sounded. Yes, it's not a v8, but it's good enough for me.

How are the massaging seats, and how many little air bags do you feel working in each section? Generally, its either 2,4, or 6 in the lower cushion, and 6 or 8 in the upper.

I have not tried them enough yet to answer this but the 5 min I did felt very nice

What are the top three pros/cons?

Pros:
1. Looks incredible
2. Better tech integration with my android phone than the E53 2022
3. Seats are more comfortable
4. More options for dashboard and heads up design (had to add a 4th)

Cons:
1. B pillar
2. The dashboard screen is not as "integrated" as the E53 was - looks more just there.
3. Why do I have to buy my own USB device to make the dashcam work?

GLS might have something call amplify sound (forgot what MB called it exactly), which when on it amplifies the sound of the third row, that amplification might cause weirdness in sound quality.

Oops, realized you answered the transmission question already.

Seats are more comfortable than an E 53 is something I was impressed to hear and a very major pro. The seats in the E 53 wasn't uncomfortable by any means from what I test driven but it was nowhere close to my family members' E 450 coupe.

If you don't mind (whenever you find time), can you record an exhaust video with someone or you revving the vehicle by chance?

Let me do that in a few days after I pass the 1000 mile break in, probably by the time I hit CT on Sunday.

You are a real trooper for responding to all of these questions I have one that hasn't already been answered. How is the tire roar/road noise level?

Seats

I’m trying to decide on those seats vs the standard leather red and black. Did you happen to try the other ones?

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. What do you mean about the dash cam? Are you just talking about getting a usb stick? Or something more involved? I have a car in the same color that should be here this week. I’m planning front ppf. Any thoughts about paint protection?

Thanks again.

It has to do with the optional dashcam, the footage is saved on an external storage device sold separately and it doesn't automatically activate next ignition start and I heard it doesn't record sound, it was 720P if I recalled correctly.

Similar question. I didn't order the dashcam option. Is there a way to still utilize this feature if we use our own memory storage option (flash drive, memory card, etc)? I'm assuming this is mostly a software restriction since the front cameras are still there.

If it's anything like some other models, You will have a one time purchase to unlock the feature. Typically at exactly the same cost as it would have been to build the car with it.

I can chime in here ... they are coming with the new Michelin Pilot S5's which are superb tires in handling, ride and comfort especially for a max summer tire.
