2018 c63 s out of warranty
Never had a v8 Mercedes, has to be better than my m6 v8 bmw. 500 hp seems impressive and I like the coupe design. With high money factor and low residual I would like to buy a used one. What do you guys think of the reliability of these v8 after 50k miles. Aftermarket warranty is expensive and I am thinking it is for a reason.

Welcome. I would suggest that you post your question in the W205 section of this forum as that section is for owners of the model you are considering. You can find it by scrolling down the forum home page. The W206 C class doesn't go on sale until early next year. Typically, MB warranties are 4 years or 50,000 miles for U.S. market cars. A factory extension on a vehicle fresh out of warranty may be less than you think, and Freedom Warranty offers 0% APR on financing for 12 or 18 months. I understand not all extended warranties are the same, but Freedom Warranty has no issues paying out on legitimate claims. If you would like the numbers and sample contract just for consideration, let me know.

Unfortunately, this is what the warranty companies all claim to get you in the door. When it comes time to pay a legitimate claim, they deny it. I've had this happen and I've seen to many media reports about this happening to people filing legitimate claims. They're not worth it, imho.

What is there to argue on coverage for a vehicle that is just out, if not still under manufactures warranty? That is how we see things, we are issuing manufactures extension policies for the most coverage, on vehicles that have been in coverage their entire life. You provide the dealer with the phone number at the end of the contract, and they deal with Freedom Warranty directly when it comes to covering claims.

I had a Cl63 in 09 and bought a 4 year extended warranty for 6k. Warranty ended up paying 18k in repairs, which was extraordinary as these were reduced repair rates as well. I would have been out of pocket 25 k on my own.
