Alright - So my dealer sent me a few pictures to me today, so I thought I'd share. This was my car that I had spec'd and cancelled, but arrived a few days ago to the dealer. It got sold pretty much right away, so no problems finding a home! I have to admit: She's quite the looker! Unfortunately for my case, the lease rate and residuals got in the way and I had to consider alternatives.

To be honest, Audi/BMW/Merc are all over the place. If you're looking for something truly unique, you're better off getting a Camaro, at least in my area.
Interesting how much it can vary from area to area. In my area the most common car by a large margin are the Model 3 and Model Y. They are everywhere. Every intersection has at least three. If you’re in an Audi/BMW/MB you look pretty unique, they really aren’t everywhere at least not to the extent they were like 5 years ago. But then again I’m in Southern California where the best selling car is the Model Y.

Yeah the leases right now especially at MB are through the roof. I don’t blame you for backing out, but those pics must have been taunting you a little. Very nice spec. So many dealers omit the digital lights even on near fully specced cars. No wonder why someone jumped on it.

Yeah, there's a bit of angst there LOL. However, my alternative lease, a Giulia Quadrifoglio for 25% off the C43 monthly payment ain't no slouch either

Yeah and being honest with one another the QV is more car than the C43. My choice is still the AMG but I can totally understand the appeal of the QV especially for 25% less

Are you C43 over CLA45? I definitely appreciate the unstated look. The C43 might be a bit *too* understated for some though comparing it to the non-AMG version.

The lack of aftermarket support is something I kind of was anticipating coming to a Mercedes, let alone a new generation C43, however my goals for this car are a lot different than what they were with the Supra. My whole rationale for even purchasing this car is because I needed something practical and luxurious but still quick when I wanted it to be. I’m having to drive into the office again a few days out of the week after being remote for so long so I wanted a comfortable highway cruiser that you can also rip on a straight road or handle a twisty road. I actually had a build order for a BMW M440i Gran Coupe, but overall the look and feel of this C43 just captured me so much more even despite the 4-cyl engine. I wanted something I wouldn’t be tempted to sink a whole bunch of money into power mods like I would with a BMW. With this, I can focus more on aesthetic mods to make the car truly my own. While I haven’t had the chance to really push this engine to the limit yet cause of the break in, just from initial driving I can already tell it will check all those boxes for me.
There should be some sharing between C63 and C43 which will help.

For instance, visually, the airbox should be a direct fitment between platforms and even things like downpipes might be similar enough to share between the platforms.

I'd love to do a hi flow downpipe/intake and be done with it. I've never seen a car with an easier downpipe to potentially swap. lol

I personally prefer the C43. I completely dismiss the CLA for its FWD characteristics that are impossible to get around. The 45 may help with that but it is still not enough for me. I think the studio pack does a lot to help differentiate the C43 from a normal C300 with the AMG-line. It adds a lot of visual excitement to the car, especially a lighter color. All the added “accents” and “flics” are gloss black so it won’t have nearly the same effect on a black car as it would on a silver, white or starling blue car. It probably would’ve made a big difference on your car. It is not a “must have” for me because the majority of the studio pack seems pretty easy to add after the fact.

It is, I just like how MB finally offers "dark chrome" or otherwise darken out badges being an option from factory.

As for the looking like a C 300, to be honest even the standard fully chrome (at least from the rear) stand out from the C 300 with the chrome quad exhaust pipes and the huge I mean huge chrome lower area, where the diffuser is (or around that area).

Yup that is what I seen as well, way more C 43 than BMW. Speaking of Markham, saw a white one today before they did PPI. no chance of pictures though so oh well.

I miss lunar blue.... (aka cavansite blue) but that is because I also want something that isn't part of the sea of grey-scale cars and something different but I am the type that likes to be understated.

You don't say, the one I saw at MB Markham today was also without digital lights. not related but there was a C 300 on the showroom floor does have digital light and that was here since over two months ago, prices actually went up though for it, and the car is covered with dust and completely dead. Like nothing, the doors were unlocked since over two months ago sitting in the showroom but every battery in that vehicle is dead (likely 12V and 48V both drained) and they didn't bother hooking it up to a trickle charger.

I dont know If il get to drive one at all. Hopefully I can get my order in for the vehicle we talked about before soon.

On the plus side, I have a family member picking up a EQE 350 SUV this weekend. So hopefully I get to drive that and mess around that with the tech for a bit.

Great spec! This poses an interesting question though: I also got both Night packages on mine, however mine came with a regular chrome Mercedes emblem on the rear. On yours I see it has the black chrome 🤔 I’m wondering if this is a mistake from the factory and a dealer can swap it out for free? I’d much prefer the black chrome for the cohesiveness.

Pic for reference

I'm not that handy when it comes to working on cars, but badges I've done before, and they're a pretty easy swap. You can definitely ask the dealer. I'm not sure why yours wouldn't come with the blacked out badging, as that's literally in the description of the option in the order guide. Maybe you can get some money back if the dealer says they won't do it for you.

UPDATE: I know you mentioned that you got night packages, but I just checked my order sheet, and there's something in there called "Stealth Package". I don't know exactly what that is, but could explain why yours isn't blacked out. I'm also in Canada, so things could be different here.

Finally, I'd like to point out the horrible naming of packages here if indeed the Stealth Package has anything to do with a black chrome rear emblem. I mean, how does making that colour change in the back make your car "MORE STEALTHY"? I'm still not sneaking up from behind on anyone with that jerky transmission .

Are they? I managed to get something close to the national offer for a lease. They offered me ~700 a month for a low spec c43. I thought that was not bad in this climate.

Yeah swapping out the emblem myself I’m not worried about, however if the dealer is willing to swap it out for free then that saves me some time and money 😂

That is interesting though. I don’t believe there’s any sort of “Stealth Package” on US cars. At least, I didn’t see one in the configurator. Is anyone able to confirm?

wow that's wild compared to california. here it's all tesla and bmw. Mercedes are rare. I've only seen about 5 total w205 c43s driving around since they came out. That includes my drives into Nevada. C43s are just sitting in lots here gathering dust.

Wow that is actually a pretty good deal, I’d honestly jump on it. How much down?

That’s what a W205 C43 was leasing for before Covid. I haven’t done too much digging but the dealers around me want 1k-1.2k+ a month for a C43. The C300s are going for 700-800 a month. A base bare bones one would go for 650 if you are lucky. And they all want something like 4500 down. I find that absolutely insane but somehow they can’t seem to keep any inventory. These new C classes are flying off the dealer lots in SoCal. I have one who is still charging over MSRP and yet they can’t hold any inventory whatsoever. In November I had a salesman tell me he just signed someone into a new C300 for 900 a month. My jaw dropped.

EDIT: I just read some guy on leasehacker get quoted 1700 a month for a new C43…
