Started the car and no steering wheel buttons lighting up. Car is stuck ibn Comfort mode? Anyone had the issue? Mercedes seemed to think they need to replace both buttons? Seems lie they know something about the issue? Only have 1700 miles, Owned since January 2025. .

The two display failing is not uncommon it was mostly reported on the W206 C 43 but being locked in comfort is new. You mean changing the dynamic select setting through the infotainment screen doesn't do anything?

I can change the dynamic select through the infotainment screen, it's just the two steering wheel dials that seem to be dead. As I mentioned the Service Department seems to know what the fix is so I guess I will know next Wed when I have an appointment to fix the issue. I haven't been able to figure out if it's a fuse issue, or where the fuse may even be. Thanks.

Yup a replacement is needed if it is the same cause like the W206 C 43

Here are the dealer notes on invoice when this happened to me:CUSTOMER STATES STEERING WHEEL AMG BUTTONS ARE INOP.

CHECK AND ADVISE.

lower buttons are dark, inop and do not communicate withXENTRY,

perform software update of N145 AMG control module and lower button

group as per LI82.90-P-075727

update software of N145 and lower switch group of steeringwheel, OK

nice that they solved it with an update instead of replacement this time.

Tech says: Conducted update of DRVU with no change to functionality of lower buttons. Removed steering wheel from vehicle, disassembled steering wheel and found ribbon cables from lower buttons to control unit were contorted, routed incorrectly, pinched in plastic trim, and damaged. Replaced lower steering wheel buttons and trim. Test drove, no further problems found. So back in business. .

Out of business again. Multiple warning lights have hit the car again. This time Mercedes says that need to replace the High and Low voltage wiring harnesses in the car. Waiting to hear from Germany if they have the parts apparently not avail in the US and then waiting to find out how long it will take the make the repairs. Doesn't sound good for a 2024 C63SE Performance with only 1800 miles on it.

They should probably replace the two screens altogether, that is the best way to solve it. I mean the lesser trim, W206 C 43 people get replacements, not sure why your case is just reprogramming and harness replacement being the higher tier vehicle.

They did replace the AMG button controls on the car at the same time they adjusted the wires. Now they claim they need to replace all of the wiring harnesses on the high voltage and low voltage system for the whole car. Still waiting to hear back from the dealer..
