the only V8 I hear is the 6.2L ...honestly my lawn mower is louder on idle then the new c63..pretty disappointed, it sucks eventually all exhaust notes will be gone (due to electric motors) ..what a boring driving experience we're going to have in 20 years, mise well just bring in the robots now to drive for us

Is AMG trying to compete with Tesla on exhaust note? I'm sure it'll sound good when they are finished tweaking things.

What sound.
Seriously, are my speakers broken because i can barely hear the sound.
Might as well buy a 2014 c63.
Oh yeah the m3 wins worst exhaust sound for any car in the last decade of a similar price.
And i almost put a deposit on a new m3.

OMG WTF? That has to either be a joke or a 428 badged as a M4... there is no way anyone could call that the sound of a "performance" car.Even the CLA45 sounds better than that.

That AMG GT doesnt sound to promising, hopefully they add a little more rawness to that engine note, and the BMW just sounds ricey and generic, yuk!

Rather hard to get a baritone bark out, of a soprano with two fans.
You can make it whine but it will not sound like a naturally aspirated 379 cubic inch v8.
They should have went in the other direction and enlarged the 6.3 to 7.4 liters.
There is no demand for a mini v8 that whines and performs less than the 6.3. Don't care for give it some gas and wait or give it some gas it will sneak up there.
The cars should have 600hp which is easily accomplished. The Shelbys and Camaros, and Vetts and even the new Chevy Impala SS will eat the lunch of the 2015 C63, as well as BMWs and most everything else.
The new CEO when he came on board started castrating everything, going the Ford route, of give them less and charge them more. Before they shout conservation, there is a glut of oil, in the world and will always be a lot. The oil Cabal and Politicians play their game to line their pockets with huge profits and huge taxes.
Pretty soon the late and not lamented bzzz bombs of little engines will be the norm.

I don't think it's fair to judge the exhaust note of the new 63 just yet. The video that the OP posted has the 204 63 making the corner at pretty high speed in a low gear. It sounds anywhere between 4500 and 5500 RPM. The 205 63 is going a bit slower and seems to be using a higher gear. Engine speed on the 205 sounds like 2500 to 3500 RPM. Not to mention that most of the new AMGs such as the E63 and CLA45 have baffles that open when placed in S mode. For all we know that 205 63 is in comfort and not really gunning it like the 204 is. Just my 2 cents.

I think they just don't want the true exhaust sound to be shown to the public until they are ready. But really this is all speculation. As others have said, the E63 doesn't sound bad at all and it isn't naturally aspirated. I think the new 63 will sound fine in the end.

Mind you the E63 is a 5.5L and not a 4L. But I don't think AMG is going to put their badge on the back unless it sounds like an AMG. I don't ever recall hearing a bad AMG exhaust note. Even the Supercharged C32 AMG sounded good.

BMW needs to figure out a way to make it not sound like a lawn mower. Its probably the worst exhaust note I've EVER heard from a sports sedan.
