Exactly... And it's a 4.0 not a 6.2L... Get over it already... At this point I am happy it doesn't sound like a soulless M3/4. also the fact that the exhaust sound as well as any " burbles, crackles, and pops when upshifting, downshifting" are real and not fake sounds being played through fancy speakers.

Also, FYI - "Active Sound" accounts for less than 5% of the car's total/actual sound. It's mainly meant to help the driver in situations where the radio is off, the windows are up, and the car is creeping along.

I've driven the M4 a few times now. The fact is, it sounds good in person. It's nothing like the C63 or any V8-equipped car but it sounds like a sports car. Have you driven and/or heard it in person yet? Or are you basing your observations off of video footage?

It's just a funny and lame concept to me. Lol

other than that i find the V8 sounding car to be more of a good sound. The M4 may not sound as bad as some think. BUT engines like the 4.0L AMG are more appealing. At the point of spending 70k+ you should really get a car that you are going to be happy with. The M4 sounds ok, but i dont want a OK sounding car.

my tt 5.5l sounds awesome I have driven many 6.2 and although the tt doesn't sound better its basically as good and the turbo spooling sounds really nice.

the 5.5 sound is one of the best turbo V8s around. I am hoping they can work the magic with the smaller 4.0L engine. i kind of wish the C63 was getting a detuned 5.5L instead of the 4.0L
