AMG has said that because of the take rate on the "Power package" they made a specific product line for the extra power called "S"
AMG now has Base / S / Black Series. Nothing to do with 4 Matic. Both the C63 and GT have "S" models without 4 Matic.
I would expect the SL and ML to fall in line with the Base / S model distinction in the near future.
My E63S comes with 255 and 285 tires from the factory.

However, while they said that there will not be 4Matic at launch, they never said there will be 4Matic EVER!
I also believe that it would make sense to have 4Matic for the C63, I would say that if it is going to happen then it wont happen till the LCI or in a couple years if the M3/4 continues to murder the C63 in sales.
Very true, but the fact that we're hearing tidbits of a possibility is cool.Originally Posted by Tjdehya

I thought snow tires had to be all the same size for traction purposes. Interesting.
I also thought the S denotes AWD. OK, good to know.
So looks like we are getting RWD, but the staggered tires could be used for AWD as well.
